• Full Stack Development: Hands-on coding in ReactJS, Golang, or Java to contribute

directly to project deliverables. Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in coding,

design, and testing.

• Micro services and Cloud-Native Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain

microservices architecture for scalable and resilient applications. Leverage cloud-native

technologies and principles to build robust and efficient systems.

• Squad Management: Independently manage engineering squads, ensuring effective

collaboration and delivery of project goals. Foster a positive and collaborative team

culture, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers,

and other stakeholders to define project requirements and priorities. Ensure alignment

between technical solutions and business objectives.

• Technology Stack Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging

technologies. Evaluate and introduce new technologies/tools to enhance the

development process.

About Us:

We’re looking to hire someone to help scale Machine Learning and NLP efforts at Episource. You’ll work with the team that develops the models powering Episource’s product focused on NLP driven medical coding. Some of the problems include improving our ICD code recommendations , clinical named entity recognition and information extraction from clinical notes.

This is a role for highly technical engineers who combine outstanding oral and written communication skills, and the ability to code up prototypes and productionalize using a large range of tools, frameworks, and languages. Most importantly they need to have the ability to autonomously plan and organize their work assignments based on high-level team goals.

What you will do at Episource:

You will be responsible for setting an agenda to develop and build machine learning platforms that positively impact the business, working with partners across the company including operations and engineering. You will be working closely with the machine learning team to design and implement back end components and services. You will be evaluating new technologies, enhancing the applications, and providing continuous improvements to produce high quality software.

Required Skills:

• Strong background in analytics, BI or data science deployments is preferable with 2-6 years of experience

• Knowledge of React/Vue, HTML, CSS

• Experience building and consuming APIs 

• Experience with MySQL, MongoDB and MEAN stack 

• Knowledge and experience with serverless architectures is a plus

• Hands-on experience with AWS or any major cloud service provider for deploying solutions

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes in deploying solutions on the cloud

• Hands-on experience Python, Apache Spark & Big Data platforms to manipulate large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.

• Fluent in data fundamentals: SQL, data manipulation using a procedural language, statistics, experimentation, and modeling

Role - Technology Lead

Role Overview 

As a Tech lead, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and  procedures, working closely with the co-founders in building a team. You will be responsible for  defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and  debugging of the software applications. The technology lead will be a part of the core leadership  team and will be involved in all crucial decisions. So apart from strong technical skills, leadership is  something we are looking for.  

Responsibilities  

▪ Work Experience between 3 to 5 years in large scale applications with desire to work in fast  paced startups  

▪ Must have led a team of 3 to 10 engineers. Excellent business understanding and  prioritization skills. Fully hands on with coding and up to date with technology trends. 
▪ Focus on code maintainability and performance of application and a demonstrated product  development ability.  

▪ Must be excellent with hiring and should have built a team from scratch or small size 
▪ Provide technical advice and assists in solving programming problems  

▪ Continuously create new and interactive features that would help to improve user  experience and user engagement.  

▪ Assist with troubleshooting of issues as needed

• Document code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular, and database level.
• Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports. 
• Knowledge of bluebird.js (Promises), Async, etc will be of advantage.
• Coding and programming using Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structure and Algorithms, architecture/ design and build RESTful API.
• Passionate about building products and features and build the product from scratch with thrust on Web security, TLS/SSL, web sockets, etc
• Knows one or more of Wireframes/ Prototyping/ Functional Documentation of business.

4-10 LPA based on experience and on performance in the interview round (70% Fixed - 30% Variable Incentive based on performance/delivery schedule)
