As a Lead Engineer in the Founding Engineering Team, youʼll help set the technical direction and build the core systems that everything else will run on—product architecture, engineering standards, and AI-first capabilities embedded into real workflows. This is a challenging environment: short feedback loops, meaningful ownership, and problems that donʼt come with a playbook.

What Youʼll Do:

• Build and own core systems (web + backend + data) from scratch—designed to scale.
• Develop People-First AI capabilities: copilots, semantic search, automated workflows, and decision support—designed with guardrails, explainability, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Drive architecture decisions: APIs, database design, eventing, caching, security basics, observability, and performance.
• Convert ambiguous business needs into clean product experiences with strong engineering discipline.
• Establish engineering standards: code quality, reviews, CI/CD, testing strategy, release readiness.
• Mentor engineers through example—this is a hands-on role, not a coordination role.
• Partner closely with founders/product/design; make trade-offs and ship outcomes, not just output.

What Weʼre Looking For:

• 5–8 years building production-grade software, ideally in product companies or high-growth startups.
• Strong expertise in Backend: Python/Java, APIs, scalability patterns Databases: PostgreSQL/MySQL + one NoSQL/search system (Elastic/OpenSearch/Vector DB is a plus)
• Proven experience building platforms/products from zero 1, then stabilizing for scale.
• Practical AI experience (not just demos): LLM integrations, prompt/tooling patterns, evaluation, safety/guardrails RAG/semantic search, embeddings, vector stores, reranking, data pipelines
• High ownership mindset; comfortable with ambiguity, tight timelines, and strong accountability.
• Strong communication—clear docs, crisp decisions, visible trade-offs.
• Experience working on SAAS Products or SAAS platforms

Nice to Have:

• Multi-tenant SaaS experience, RBAC, audit logs, and security-first design patterns.
• Cloud familiarity: AWS/GCP/Azure, containers, basic infra-as-code, observability tooling.
• Experience shipping AI features with measurable quality (latency, accuracy, cost, adoption)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer with strong backend expertise in Java and hands-on experience in ReactJS for front-end development. The ideal candidate will drive the design, development, and implementation of high-performance, scalable applications that meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development (Approx. 80%)

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define backend architecture and ensure high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, debug code, and improve overall system reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making.

Frontend Development (Approx. 20%)

• Develop responsive user interfaces and reusable ReactJS components.
• Integrate frontend components with backend services and APIs.
• Ensure high performance, cross-browser compatibility, and seamless user experience.

General

• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and deliver high-quality software on schedule.
• Maintain robust documentation and follow SDLC best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6–13 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and related server-side technologies.
• Hands-on experience with ReactJS and modern JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and web services.
• Strong database skills (SQL and/or NoSQL) and familiarity with schema design.
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of message queuing (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and best practices.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

• Meeting with clients to discuss website design and function.
• Designing and building the website front end
• Creating the Website architecture

• Generating wordpress themes and plugins
