What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems capable of handling billions of rows of data and serving millions of API requests per hour
• Translate product requirements into robust system architecture - owning the full development lifecycle from requirement to release
• Collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional teams to scope and deliver high-quality features that address real user needs
• Write clean, well-documented code and maintain technical documentation that enables other engineers to contribute efficiently
• Drive and participate in design and code reviews, ensuring engineering standards are upheld across the team
• Mentor junior developers, helping build a strong engineering culture within the team
• Contribute to and evolve best practices for backend development as the team and product scale.

What We're Looking For:

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience with Python and at least one of Django / FastAPI / Flask.
• Strong command of relational databases - PostgreSQL or MySQL - and experience optimising queries at scale.
• Solid understanding of Redis and caching strategies in high-throughput environments.
• Experience designing and building REST APIs that are performant, reliable, and maintainable.
• Ownership mindset - you build it, ship it, and take responsibility for it in production.
• Strong communication skills - ability to articulate technical decisions clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bonus: Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, or CSS is a plus but not required.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented and self-motivated Back-end Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code that enhances workflow organization and automates various internal processes within the organization. The role involves continuous improvement of our software solutions to save man-hours and ensure overall organizational efficiency. Key tasks include development, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and maintenance of both new and existing programs.

Key responsibilities:

1)    Software Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code/flows that automate internal processes and improve workflow efficiency.

2)    Testing and Maintenance: Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and daily maintenance of created or integrated programs.

3)    Adherence to Standards: Follow preferred development methodologies and adhere to organizational development standards.

4)    Team work: To work closely with other team members to ensure the successful implementation of projects. Maintain clear and concise documentation of code, APIs, and software components to aid in knowledge sharing and future development.

5)    Stay Current: Keep up to date with the latest developments in the Python, RPA ecosystem and engage in best practices of software engineering.

• Expert in Python with knowledge of Python best practices (PEP8) 
• Strong knowledge of python web frameworks such as Django, Flask • Strong knowledge of building RESTful APIs using Django Rest Framework • Good Understanding of Django ORM Libraries 
• Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system • Strong experience on Linux 
• Solid database skills in a relational database (i.e. PostgresSQL,MYSql) • Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes • Strong unit test and debugging skills 
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (git) 
• Experience deploying on AWS is desirable 
• Experience with Docker,Test Drive Development will be a plus 
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, influence and communication skills • Experience in designing scalable micro-services is desirable 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• 1-3 years of experience as a backend developer 
• At least one product build and published 
• SKILLS Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle 
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code 
• Work well under pressure and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality • Work with distributed development teams 

• Solid experience in RoR, Golang, NodeJS or Python. Good to have exposure to ML.
• Should have experience in cloud computing
• Has an ability to quickly learn and contribute in multiple codebase
• Overcomes roadblocks and requires minimal oversight
• Takes initiatives to fix issues/tech debts before assigned to him/her
• Able to deep dive into codebase and advise QA of possible regression impact
• Communicates tech decisions through design docs and tech talks
• Has delivered projects with end-to-end accountability
• Keeps track of industry trends and introduces right tech/tools for a given job
• Excellent understanding of software engineering practices, Design Patterns, Data Structures, Algorithms

• At least 2-5 years of working experience in web services, preferably in Python
• Should have built and released APIs in production
• Experience working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Designing thoughtful, extensible data models
• Knowledge of identifying, defining and building micro-services
• Working knowledge of GCS, AWS, Azure or any other cloud provider
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
