Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior backend Developer specializing in FSE tools to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces that enhance our customer experience. Your contributions will play a critical role in driving the success of our projects by creating dynamic, intuitive, and responsive web applications.

Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using front end tools to create seamless, user-friendly experiences.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend developers, to deliver high-quality products.

Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code while adhering to best practices in frontend development.

Perform code reviews, optimize application performance, and debug issues for a smooth user experience.

Stay updated on the latest FSE features and web development trends to bring innovative ideas to the team.

Job qualifications:

Technical Skills

• You have experience using one or more development languages (Java, Nodejs, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, etc.) with experience in Object-Oriented programming
• You can skillfully write high-quality, well-tested code and you are comfortable with Object-Oriented programming
• You are comfortable with Agile methodologies, such as Extreme Programming (XP), Scrum and/or Kanban
• You have a good awareness of TDD, continuous integration and continuous delivery approaches/tools
• Bonus points if you have working knowledge of cloud technology such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes and Docker

Professional Skills

• You enjoy influencing others and always advocate for technical excellence while being open to change when needed

As a Backend Engineer, you will

• Create and maintain server-side code
• Designing database schemas to support business requirements
• Building reusable code and libraries for future use
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Write unit tests
• Stay up to date with current best practices

• Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data, and Design teams to assist with web-application-related technical issues and support their requirements.

While we do not have a strict list of requirements for candidates interested in this role, some indicators that you would fit this role and our engineering culture are 

• 2+ years of relevant work experience as a Backend engineer using Python frameworks like Django, Flask, etc
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of OOP concepts
• Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience writing unit tests for the application is a plus
• Experience with building REST APIs
• Superior analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Building components for the companys advanced health-tech platform using Java, Solr, SpringBoot, DialogFlow
• Communicating effectively in a cross-functional product development team and presenting ideas and solutions effectively

• Development & maintenance of Cleartrip’s product lines
• Involved in entire lifecycle including analysis, development, fixing, and monitoring of issues on the assigned Cleartrip product lines
• Unit test cases – Review and writing

• 2+ years of Product Development experience
• Java, Spring Framework preferred
• Solid experience with databases (Oracle/MySQL) – a must
• Excellent OO and design skills
• Experience with Test Driven Development within a continuous Integration environment (Lunt, CruiseControl, etc)
