About the Role: We’re looking for a Full-Stack Developer who is comfortable working across both web and mobile platforms to join our growing tech team. You will be responsible for developing user-facing applications, building scalable backend services, and deploying high-quality digital experiences that impact real users. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic startup environment, where you’ll play a critical role in shaping both product and technology. You’ll collaborate closely with our design, backend, and product teams to develop and maintain new features across our platforms. We’re not just looking for a coder - we’re looking for someone passionate about solving problems, learning fast, and building user-first experiences across devices.

Responsibilities: Web Development Develop responsive web interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Optimize frontend performance for mobile and desktop platforms. Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive user experiences. Mobile App Development Build and maintain cross-platform mobile apps using React Native (or Flutter, if applicable). Ensure smooth user experience and performance across Android and iOS devices. Manage versioning, updates, and publishing to Play Store and App Store. Backend Development Develop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js and Express.js. Integrate with MongoDB / MySQL databases for data persistence. Work with third-party APIs and handle authentication, authorization, etc. DevOps & Deployment Handle app deployment pipelines and basic CI/CD workflows. Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues. Use Git and version control best practices for code collaboration.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with TypeScript, Firebase, AWS, or Expo Familiarity with push notifications, in-app purchases, etc. Basic knowledge of server-side rendering or Next.js Experience with analytics, performance monitoring, or testing frameworks

• 1-5 years of experience in Java Development.
• Very good with DSA - Java programming.
• Hands-on experience in working with REST APIs & Web Services.
• Good Database design skills - SQL
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.

1. Define architecture blueprints & take complete technical ownership of high-level design, tech stack, non-functional attributes of one or more components of various platforms
2. Design, build, test and deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide
3. Work closely with other architects in the team and ensure architectural consistency and technical excellence of the products and platforms
4. Work with engineering teams in building high-quality and highly resilient scalable products and platforms at Whatfix

 Your Qualifications:

1. 11+ years of experience as an Engineer
2. Ability to work with teams in a collaborative and productive manner
3. Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
4. A self-motivated learner and builder with strong customer focus and obsession with quality

 Must-Have:

1. Strong Expertise in Backend Technologies- Java, Spring Boot, etc 
2. Expertise in working with AWS or other cloud infrastructures like Azure or Google Cloud, and using Infrastructure-as-Code tools
3. Analyze Functional & Non-Functional requirements with effort estimation and deployment strategies
4. Hands-on in Architecting and developing large scale applications
5. Hands-on debugging skills
6. Design for performance, scalability, fault tolerance and high availability

 Good to have:

1. Experience in Client-side technologies such as jQuery
2. Experience in Front End Technologies is good to have (Javascript, React)

We are looking for a Node.js Developer who is proficient with writing API's, working with data, using AWS and capable of applying algorithms mainly machine learning-based to solve problems and create/modify features for our students. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
