Job Role: Manual Software Tester

Job Overview:
As a Software Tester, you will collaborate closely with project developers, business analysts, and the team to ensure that our software solutions meet and exceed user expectations. You will be
responsible for developing test cases, performing various types of testing, conducting root cause analysis on defects, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our software testing processes. Additionally, you will evaluate the functioning of the website and provide valuable feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaboration and Requirement Analysis:
- Work collaboratively with project developers, business analysts, and the team members to
understand software requirements and user expectations.
2. Testing and Defect Management:
- Perform root cause analysis on defects found during testing to identify underlying issues and
potential project risks.
- Conduct exploratory and usability testing to proactively discover and report bugs before software
release.
- Execute comprehensive testing against the software to ensure all features function as designed
and meet intended user needs.
3. Website Functionality Check and Feedback:
- Regularly evaluate the functionality of the website to ensure it meets usability standards and user
expectations.
- Provide constructive feedback to developers and stakeholders regarding the website's
performance, user interface, and overall user experience.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
- Document test results, track defects, and provide clear and concise reports on testing progress
and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on testing results,
feedback, and priorities.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work
experience).
● Proven experience as a Software Tester or Quality Assurance Analyst.
● Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
● Experience in developing and executing test cases based on requirements and specifications.
● Ability to perform root cause analysis and effectively mitigate project risks related to defects.
● Proficiency in conducting exploratory testing and usability testing to identify potential issues.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
