
Job Description: Senior Full-Stack Engineer (MERN + Python )

We are hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with proven expertise in MERN technologies and Python backend frameworks to deliver scalable, efficient, and maintainable software solutions. You will design and build web applications and microservices, leveraging FastAPI and advanced asynchronous programming techniques to ensure high performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications using the MERN stack alongside Python backend microservices.
- Build efficient and scalable APIs with Python frameworks like FastAPI and Flask, utilizing AsyncIO, multithreading, and multiprocessing for optimal performance.
- Lead architecture and technical decisions spanning both MERN frontend and Python microservices backend.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and responsive user interfaces.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Manage and optimize databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL for application and microservices needs.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications and microservices on AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate integration and deployment processes.
- Participate in Agile development practices including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Ensure application scalability, security, and performance across frontend and backend systems.
- Design cloud-native microservices architectures focused on high availability and fault tolerance.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js.
- Proven Python backend development expertise with FastAPI and Flask.
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming using AsyncIO, multithreading, and multiprocessing.
- Experience designing and developing microservices and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
- Skilled in database design and optimization for MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Familiar with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and automated testing/deployment workflows.
- Ability to lead teams, mentor developers, and make key technical decisions.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

What You'll Do

- Build AI workflows that combine multiple tools for legal research, validation, and document analysis
- Create scalable RAG infrastructure to handle thousands of legal documents with high accuracy
- Implement AI tool chains to provide agents tool inputs
- Design intuitive interfaces that make complex legal workflows simple and powerful
- Own end-to-end features from conception through deployment and iteration
- Establish engineering best practices for AI systems including evaluation, monitoring, and safety
- Collaborate directly with founders on product strategy and technical roadmap

What We're Looking For
Must-Haves
- Deployed production-grade LLM applications with demonstrable experience in:
- Tool usage and function calling
- RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) implementation at scale
- Agent architectures and multi-step reasoning
- Prompt engineering and optimization
- Knowledge of multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, open-source models)
- Background in building AI evaluation and monitoring systems
- Experience with document processing and OCR technologies
- 3+ years of production experience with Node.js, Python, Next.js, and React
- Strong MongoDB expertise including schema design and optimization
- Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, or similar)
- Full-stack mindset with ability to own features from database to UI
- Track record of shipping complex web applications at scale
- Deep understanding of LLM limitations, hallucination prevention, and validation techniques

Interview Process
One more thing: Our process includes deep technical interviews and fit conversations. As part of the evaluation, there will be an extensive take-home test that should expect to take at least 4-5 hours depending on your skill level. As a Staff Full-stack engineer, you will work across the Acceldata platform products. We’re looking for people with a strong background or inclination towards data engineering and systems; you’re comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces and can work at the intersection of Databases, API's and Frontends
You will:
- Be actively involved in strategic direction and product decisions.
- Design, build and maintain APIs, user-facing experiences, and services.
- Work closely with our customers and sales teams on a regular basis to carve out new features and use cases
- Work with MVC frameworks such as React or Angular
- Work with database systems, RDBMS, Mongo, Elastic Search.
