Lead Engineer - Frontend

We are seeking a skilled Next.js Developer with a strong background in building scalable web applications and hands-on experience with Contentful CMS. The ideal candidate will have expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, SCSS, Tailwind, Bootstrap, and unit testing. The role also requires a solid understanding of relational databases (RDBMS). You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing web applications while ensuring code quality through unit testing. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop and maintain high-performance web applications using Next.js. 
• Integrate and manage content through Contentful CMS. 
• Implement responsive, pixel-perfect designs using HTML, SCSS, Tailwind and Bootstrap. 
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility. 
• Write clean, modular, and reusable code following best practices. 
• Develop and maintain APIs for data exchange between the front end and back end. 
• Utilize relational databases (RDBMS) to store, manage, and retrieve data efficiently. 
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high code quality and adherence to established standards. 
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues across development and production environments. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, product managers, QA engineers) to deliver high-quality software on time. 
• Experience in writing the Unit Test Cases 

Required Skills & Experience: 

• 6+ years of experience in front-end development, specifically with Next.js. 
• Hands-on experience with Contentful CMS or other headless CMS solutions. 
• Proficiency in modern web development technologies: HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript (ES6/ES7), and TypeScript. 
• Strong experience with Bootstrap or other responsive design frameworks. 
• Working experience on RDBMS such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server. 
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services. 
• Proficient in version control systems like Git. 
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and SEO best practices. 
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and experience building cross-browser, cross-device applications. 
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. 

Nice-to-Have Skills: 

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
• Knowledge of GraphQL. 
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. 
• Understanding of headless architecture and Jamstack principles.

Responsibilities:

The React Developer will own and drive web development—including decisions about tools, technologies, and processes - for UPCRED.

Skills:

2 - 5 years of React experience with some hands-on experience with web application development.

Experience with React Ecosystem (React Router, Styled-components, Server-side rendering, Context API, React Hooks) is strongly preferred.

Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or MobX is a huge plus.

Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues

Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, offline storage, state

management.

Experience with Content/Video-based website.

Understanding of Social Video-based web Architecture

Technical Requirements-

• At least 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience as a web developer, UI developer, JavaScript expert, or a frontend engineer
• Be familiar with Responsive Web Design, common Web UX patterns and anti-patterns
• Be able to tell good design from bad design
• Be able to write clean, maintainable code which others can work on
• Familiar with UI layouts, SASS, bootstrap, and Material UI
• Experience debugging using popular JavaScript-based tools like Chrome Developer Console
• You have mastery in DOM manipulation (including jQuery) and understand components, CTAs
• Know browser behaviour, performance, compatibility and cross-browser issues
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git,

Requirements

• Convert design to Angular 5 components
• Use SCSS as the CSS macroprocessor
