About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on Software Engineer who is passionate about web development and strives to create high-quality web experiences.
What you will do:
- Build player-facing experiences that expand and enhance the platform/ game experience within a complex ecosystem of microservices and clients.
- Work with product to design and build new platform/game features
- Ensure the team is adhering to engineering excellence which includes: code maintainability, quality, monitoring, operational excellence, and documentation
- Work collaboratively with non-technical stakeholders to accomplish deliverables
- Ensuring cross-platform compatibility and optimization
- Considering security, maintenance, scalability, and more when developing
- Genre affinity for, and knowledge of, hypercasual tournament-based platforms and games
What you have:
- 3+ years of experience applying software engineering principles while building frontend web applications
- Deep understanding of the nuances of Javascript, CSS and web technologies and how to build beautiful, performant web applications
- Experience with ReactJS or other Javascript frameworks.
- Experience working with remote data via REST API
- Experience implementing software engineering best practices within your team, including design reviews, coding standards, code reviews, tools improvements, source control management, build processes, and testing.
- Ability to understand docs & Integrate 3rd party SDKs.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with modern web technologies such as NextJS, Webpack, Redux, JWT or similar.
- Experience with Blockchain technologies.
- Prior game development experience
- Full stack experience being able to flex into services in Java, Go or NodeJS
- Experience building tools and pipelines to facilitate data moving throughout an ecosystem
