Role: DevOps engineer

We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer that will work closely with our client’s team to establish DevOps practice. 

Your role will include establishing configuration management, automating the infrastructure, implementing continuous integration, and training the team in DevOps best practices to achieve a continuously deployable system.

You will be part of a continually growing team. You will have the chance to be creative and think of new ideas. You might also get the opportunity to work on some open-source projects, ranging from small to large.

What you’ll be doing – your role

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, and may require independent judgement; you should be fully competent in your own area of expertise. Some of the responsibilities associated with the role include:

• Improve CI/CD tooling
• Implement and improve monitoring and alerting
• Help support daily operations through the use of automation and assist in building a DevOps culture with our engineers for a better all-around software development and deployment experience
• Develop and maintain solutions for highly resilient services and infrastructure
• Implement automation to help deploy our services and maintain their operational health
• Contribute to the understanding of how our services are being used and help plan the capacity needs for future growth

 What do we expect – experience and skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, involving coding
• 3+ years of experience running large-scale customer-facing services
• 2-3 years of DevOps experience
• A strong desire and aptitude for system automation defines success in this role
• Linux experience, including expertise in system installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting
• Experience with cloud-based providers such as AWS
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with web-based API/restful service
• Experience with Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code platforms (Terraform)
• Experience with at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, JavaScript)
• Methodical approach to troubleshooting and documenting issues
• Experience in Docker orchestration and management
• Experience with implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (mainly GitHub Actions and ArgoCD)
• Experience in implementing comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki.

• Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters.
• Develop Kubernetes-based solutions.
• Improve Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Work with other engineers to troubleshoot Kubernetes issues.

DevOps Lead Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Lead Engineer with 8 to 10 yrs. of experience who handles the entire DevOps lifecycle and is accountable for the implementation of the process. A DevOps Lead Engineer is liable for automating all the manual tasks for developing and deploying code and data to implement continuous deployment and continuous integration frameworks. They are also held responsible for maintaining high availability of production and non-production work environments.

Essential Requirements (must have):

• Bachelor's degree preferable in Engineering.

• Solid 5+ experience with AWS, DevOps, and related technologies

Skills Required:

Cloud Performance Engineering

• Performance scaling in a Micro-Services environment

• Horizontal scaling architecture

• Containerization (such as Dockers) & Deployment

• Container Orchestration (such as Kubernetes) & Scaling

DevOps Automation

• End to end release automation.

• Solid Experience in DevOps tools like GIT, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, CFN etc.

• Solid experience in Infra Automation (Infrastructure as Code), Deployment, and Implementation.

• Candidates must possess experience in using Linux, Jenkins, and ample experience in Configuring and automating the monitoring tools.

• Responsible for creating software deployment strategies that are essential for the successful

deployment of software in the work environment and provide stable environment for delivery of

quality.

• The DevOps Lead Engineer is accountable for designing, building, configuring, and optimizing

automation systems that help to execute business web and data infrastructure platforms.

• The DevOps Lead Engineer is involved in creating technology infrastructure, automation tools,

and maintaining configuration management.

• The Lead DevOps Engineer oversees and leads the activities of the DevOps team. They are

accountable for conducting training sessions for the juniors in the team, mentoring, career

support. They are also answerable for the architecture and technical leadership of the complete

DevOps infrastructure.

1.      Experience working on Linux Ubuntu, Nginx, Application Deployment & Implementation

2.      Excellent understanding of Python.

3.      Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo

4.      Excellent troubleshooting

5.      Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services

9.      Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities.

10.   Managing stakeholders and external interfaces

11.   Setting up tools and required infrastructure

12.   Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation

13.   Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.

14.   Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs

15.   Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for their adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage

16.   Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible

17.   Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management

18.   Incidence management and root cause analysis

19.   Coordination and communication within the team and with customers

20.   Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools

21.   Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
