About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with at least 3 years experience. You will be an integral part of building the back-end architecture and developing core systems.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop our core systems from scratch.
• Deploy and maintain the product on AWS.
• Make strategic technical decisions.
• Commit to best practices for testing, logging, and deployments
• Help build the engineering team & subsequently mentor junior developers.

Requirements:

• 3+ years’ experience as a backend engineer.
• Expert in Python and Django.
• Experience with databases (Postgres, Redis etc. ).
• Good understanding of platforms (Docker, AWS).
• Basic understanding of Dev Ops.
• Previous experience architecting and scaling back-end systems
• Hands-on attitude and ability to drive solutions to completion.

• Strong knowhow of data-structures and algorithms.
• Strong core server-side technologies experience (Java/ other)
• Knowledge of Android is a huge plus.
• Strong understanding of OO/ design and good software development practices.
• Strong database skills and good knowhow of databases.
• Exposure to configuration management, testing, deployment.
• Hands on development across technologies

• Experience in API development using Java will be a plus.

• Excellent knowledge and experience in writing testable, scalable, flexible, robust and efficient web applications using JavaEE 6/7 technologies, specifically, Spring core, Spring Boot Spring Data, spring batch and JPA
• Experience in successfully deploying Java-based applications in production and understanding load-balancing, authentication, and fault tolerance through Tom Cat.
• Experience in database modeling (MySQL/NoSQL databases such as Mongo DB)

• Knowledge of integrating with Ant, Maven, GIT and Shell scripting.
• Strong backend experience to develop Data Layer using at least one of the ORM frameworks like Hibernate, JPA etc.
• Strong RDBMS Skills and SQL skills. Experience in MySQL, Teradata and warehousing databases.

• Experience in Analytics frameworks and visualization products.

• Excellent knowledge and experience of Maven, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery with Jenkins.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks, especially Angular is a definite plus.

expertise in Data engineering/Data analytics,

ELK(Elastic Search, Logstash , Kibana) stack, Teradata, any No SQL database, Hands on experience in

Angular 2x, GitLab with CI/CD, Hands on experience in Unix server, Shell scripting, Large data

processing, Performance tuning, Experience in working in various Test Automation frameworks like

Selenium, Test NG, Python, Cucumber, Karma, Karate/ Jasmine, etc

Experience in using Eclipse, Spring tool suite, Project building tools - Maven, Gradle, etc, JIRA for ALM.

•  1-3 years of experience in application/web development
• Good experience in working with programming languages Golang.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and the web in general

Requirements

As a Senior Software Engineer you have complete ownership of building out the Docexa product along with product people and the rest of the engineering team. This role will act as a great springboard to accelerate career growth & transition into a Tech Lead level role.

• You write understandable, testable and easy to maintain code
• You’ve the ability to build RESTful APIs
• Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support team, and fellow engineers is not a problem for you
• Well versed with the fundamentals of computer science and distributed systems

Requirements

• B.S./M.S/Equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience
• Fluency in Java/C++ with 15+ years of experience developing production-level software
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded and asynchronous programming models and their use in developing distributed and scalable systems
• 8+ years experience in developing complex and scalable distributed systems and delivering, deploying, and managing microservices successfully
• Subject Matter Expert in one or more of query processing or optimization, distributed systems, concurrency, micro service based architectures, data replication, networking, storage systems
• Experience in taking company-wide initiatives, convincing stakeholders, and delivering them
• Expert in solving complex, unknown and ambiguous problems spanning across teams and taking initiative in planning and delivering them with high quality
• Ability to anticipate and propose plan/design changes based on changing requirements 
• Passion for quality, zero downtime upgrades, availability, resiliency, and uptime of the platform
• Passion for learning and delivering using latest technologies
• Hands-on experience of working projects on AWS, Azure, and GCP
