Backend Developer

Position Overview:

As a Backend Developer at FatakPay, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining the backend systems that power our applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and efficient server-side applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems.

Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

Implement and maintain data storage solutions, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.

Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and manage applications in a cloud environment.

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security issues, and other technical challenges.

Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in backend development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.

Strong proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.

Experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB. Familiarity with RESTful API design and integration.

Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Create reusable optimised code and libraries
• Deploy task management systems and automate routine tasks
• Build performant apps that adhere to the best practices, therefore increasing latency, performance, and scalability
• Improve the existing codebase while reducing technical debt
• Take charge of all elements of the application, including architecture, quality, and efficiency

• Proficient understanding of Python language
• Expertise in developing web apps and APIs using Python frameworks like Flask with an overall grasp of client-server interactions
• Familiarity with task management systems and process automation
• Comfortable with using Command Line and Linux systems
• Experience and understanding of version control systems like git, svn, etc
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB

Good to have

• Expertise in other backend frameworks viz. Django, NodeJS, Go, Rust etc
• Knowledge of data-modelling, data-wrangling & data-mining techniques
• Experience with data visualisation tools & libraries such as Plotly, Seaborn etc
• Exposure to Statistical and Machine Learning (ML) techniques, particularly in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP)

• This is a full-time position and we’d like you to relocate to Chennai
• Expected salary range ₹6L - ₹8L per annum

Must have :

• Strong Experience in Python development
• Familiarity with Data Structures and Algorithms
• Experience in developing Enterprise scale applications
• Exposure to NLP
• Exposure / awareness of AI, ML
• Exposure to Windows Azure is an added advantage
• God understanding of project architecture and software development processes such as Agile and Scrum

Responsibilities :

• Partner with Business Stakeholders to translate business objectives into clearly defined analytical Projects
• Own the end-end process, from recognizing the problem to implementing the solution
• Understand customer’s requirements and design the optimum solution using Icertis’ AI applications
• Configure, Extend, and optimize Icertis AI app through Python scripts, NLP NER Analysis and other mechanisms
• Take full ownership of project / product features to implement, provide bug fixes and write tests and tooling for those features to ensure they work well at cloud scale.
• Plan and identify solutions and risks in assigned work
• You are expected to be hands on and write code on day to day basis and also mentor other team members

Introduction: 

Tyroo’s Vidtech.ai is one of the largest independent marketing automation clouds built for the video first world. We build software and platforms that allow our partners to derive maximum yields on their marketing spends on various video-first social platforms. We work on problems that involve building high availability, low latency solutions which require computing optimal decisions using various self-created modules as well as pre-available modules popular in the ML and Big Data world.

We are looking for a backend developer who has at least 1 year of professional experience in building systems on either Python or Node.js and is able to become an anchor/pillar for the team. The role will require you to architect and develop systems/features needed for our marketing automation products. Strong leadership and mentoring skills are also necessary so that the individual can train, educate and manage junior resources.

• Must be able to tackle complex business problems by breaking them down into sets of simpler problems and architect solutions for the same

• Must have excellent communication skills as the individual needs to collaborate with the Business and Product team

• Must be able to contribute in setting up best practices and effective design patterns in the complete development lifecycle.

Technical Requirements:

• Must have 3+ years of experience in developing scalable systems on Python/Node.js with a strong grasp of microservices and serverless architectural patterns
• Must have prior experience with databases like MySQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis
• Must be exposed to cloud platforms like AWS or GCP and containerization using Dockers
• Must have worked with RESTful APIs and WebSockets
• Must have a deep understanding of HTTP, web browsers and token-based authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT)
• Must be experienced on Version Control Tools (Git) and Package Managers (npm, yarn, pip)
• Must adhere to coding standards and have the habit of doing unit testing along with regular and rigorous code reviews
• Should know about microservices orchestration using Kubernetes, web servers like Nginx/Apache and queuing systems like Kafka/Kinesis

• Solid experience in RoR, Golang, NodeJS or Python. Good to have exposure to ML.
• Should have experience in cloud computing
• Has an ability to quickly learn and contribute in multiple codebase
• Overcomes roadblocks and requires minimal oversight
• Takes initiatives to fix issues/tech debts before assigned to him/her
• Able to deep dive into codebase and advise QA of possible regression impact
• Communicates tech decisions through design docs and tech talks
• Has delivered projects with end-to-end accountability
• Keeps track of industry trends and introduces right tech/tools for a given job
• Excellent understanding of software engineering practices, Design Patterns, Data Structures, Algorithms

Hands -on experience with the following technologies is needed:

1. Good Knowledge of Python & Django Framework.
2. Experience in Git or any Version control systems.
3. Experience in SQL Databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
4. Knowledge of NoSQL Databases like Mongodb.
5. Worked on Django based live projects.
6. To implement microservices using Django rest framework.
7. Handling various technical aspects like coding of modules using the given design specifications
8. Debugging and fixing the defects as well as analyzing its root cause.
9. Deployment(AWS) and monitoring of the live project.
10. Mentoring junior developers.

Knowledge/Experience of AWS will be a big plus

Preferred Qualifications: 
B-Tech-IT/B-Tech -CSE/BCA or any degree in the relevant field

Required Experience: 
3 – 6 Years

• At least 2-5 years of working experience in web services, preferably in Python
• Should have built and released APIs in production
• Experience working with RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Designing thoughtful, extensible data models
• Knowledge of identifying, defining and building micro-services
• Working knowledge of GCS, AWS, Azure or any other cloud provider
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
