
IT Administrator
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT administrator to support our growing portfolio of businesses. This role will be responsible for managing user access, software provisioning, IT operations, security compliance, and day-to-day technical support across the organization.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, and focused on creating scalable IT systems that improve security, efficiency, and employee experience. This is not simply a ticket-resolution role; we are looking for someone who can continuously improve IT operations and proactively identify risks before they become problems.
Key Responsibilities
1. User Onboarding & Offboarding
- Manage end-to-end onboarding for new employees, contractors, and vendors
- Provision accounts, access groups, software licenses, and devices as required
- Maintain standardized onboarding and offboarding workflows for different role types
- Ensure timely and complete offboarding, including account deactivation, access revocation, and asset recovery
- Maintain onboarding and offboarding documentation and checklists
2. Platform Provisioning & Access Management
- Grant, modify, and revoke access to business applications and platforms
- Manage software licenses and user seats across the organization
- Ensure role-based access controls and least-privilege principles are followed
- Conduct regular cleanup of unused, inactive, or orphaned accounts
- Maintain accurate records of user permissions and platform access
3. Security & Compliance
- Administer identity and access management processes
- Enforce MFA, SSO, password policies, and security best practices
- Perform periodic access reviews and maintain audit-ready documentation
- Identify and remediate security risks related to user access and software usage
- Support internal security policies and compliance initiatives
- Assist with incident response and access-related investigations when required
4. IT Support & Request Management
- Own the day-to-day IT support queue and employee requests
- Troubleshoot and resolve access, licensing, application, and system-related issues
- Escalate complex infrastructure or system-level issues to senior technical stakeholders
- Maintain clear communication with users throughout the resolution process
- Meet defined service levels for response and resolution times
5. Tooling, Asset & Vendor Management
- Maintain a centralized inventory of software, platforms, and IT assets
- Track application owners, license counts, renewal dates, and costs
- Monitor software utilization and identify consolidation opportunities
- Flag upcoming renewals and recommend cost optimization initiatives
- Maintain documentation for business-critical systems and vendors
6. Process Improvement & Documentation
- Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, workflows, and operational documentation
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive IT tasks
- Recommend improvements to security, onboarding, access management, and support processes
- Ensure institutional knowledge is documented and accessible
Expectations

- Risks, blockers, and open questions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, SOPs, and inventories
- Proactively identify risks, access gaps, expiring licenses, and compliance concerns
- Communicate constraints and capacity issues early
- Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for IT operations
- Continuously improve processes rather than simply resolving tickets
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in IT Administration, Systems Administration, IT Operations, or a similar role
- Strong experience with Google Workspace administration
- Experience managing SaaS applications, user provisioning, and access controls
- Familiarity with SSO, MFA, identity management, and security best practices
- Experience supporting cloud-based business applications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Shopify, and other modern SaaS platforms
- Experience with software license management and vendor administration
- Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and compliance best practices

Working Hours & Availability
This role is expected to provide overlap with U.S. Eastern Time business hours.
Core Availability
The candidate should be actively available and responsive through 3:00 PM Eastern Time:
- During Eastern Standard Time (EST): 3:00 PM EST = 1:30 AM IST (next day)
- During Eastern Daylight Time (EDT): 3:00 PM EDT = 12:30 AM IST (next day)
Extended Support for Urgent Issues
For critical incidents, security issues, access outages, or business-impacting requests, the candidate may be required to remain available until 5:00 PM Eastern Time:
- During EST: 5:00 PM EST = 3:30 AM IST (next day)
- During EDT: 5:00 PM EDT = 2:30 AM IST (next day)
This extended coverage is intended for urgent situations and should not be part of the normal day-to-day workload.
