About the role

• This role is for an engineering manager/leader who has been leading teams and building products in larger scale startups, serving millions of monthly users. And is ready to upgrade their role from being an engineering manager to playing the engineering head of the company.

• Work closely with the founders and other leaders in the company to build a strong product and business- collaborating to create innovative products that will help define the future of healthcare.

• Build a strong engineering team and processes that enhance their performance and the overall organization.

• Pick the right architecture and tools for building a high performance, robust and scalable engineering platform , in a cost-effective way

Must have

• Has been an experienced Engineering Manager, or Senior Engineering Manager (8 to 10+ years of experience), across at least 1 scaled mobile-first B2C tech startup with paid transactions.

• Strong experience with mobile development: iOS, Android and/or React Native. Not just coding, but also leading mobile-based engineering teams.

• Strong understanding of devops and backend systems needed for scaling. 

• Has led engineering teams that launched products from idea to launch (0 to 1), and launch to scale (1 to 10)

• Has led teams of 10-15+ engineers.

• Comfort in an early stage environment.

• Strong communication and leadership ability- especially in the current remote environment.

• Has built teams from scratch, and been through the ups and downs of building startups and products.

• A passion for building impactful products.

• Strong developer, still codes, and can give the best in their team a run for their money! Is pretty much a full-stack engineer.

• 8-10+ years of experience

Nice to have

• Has founded their own company.

Job Description :

• Create B2B target lists and prospect lists for Praan's MKII or HIVE product lines
• Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, emailing, and networking, to generate new leads and opportunities.
• Research and identify key decision-makers within target industries and companies to pitch our products and solutions.
• Engage with prospects to understand their business needs, challenges, and pain points, and effectively communicate how our offerings can address their requirements.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products, services, and competitive positioning to effectively articulate our value proposition.
• Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure alignment with our target market and ideal customer profile.
• Effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value of our products and solutions to prospects.
• Build and nurture relationships with prospects through consistent follow-up and engagement strategies.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings between qualified leads and our CEO or other key stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates and reports on lead generation activities, pipeline status, and conversion metrics.

Skill Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• Proven track record of success in a sales or lead generation role in a B2B environment.
• Strong sales acumen with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build rapport quickly with diverse stakeholders, including C-level executives and decision-makers.
• Demonstrated experience conducting outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, emailing, and networking.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

• Design and build distributed, scalable, and fault-tolerant software systems.
• Build cloud services on top of the modern OCI infrastructure.
• Participate in the entire software lifecycle, from design to development, to quality assurance, and to production.

• Good to have experience in Kafka / JMS / RabbitMQ / AWS Elastic queue.

• Good to have knowledge in Mysql (or any RDBMS).

• Your primary focus will be the development of server-side logic, building new services and APIs, developing UI components, supporting the maintenance of current APIs, reviewing work, and improving the performance and reliability of our systems as we rapidly scale our product and organization.
• An effective Senior Software Engineer will be a self-motivated learner; a highly creative engineer having obsessive attention towards detail and thoroughness.

Must Haves

• You’ve been building web applications professionally for 5+ years
• You’re proficient in NodeJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• You possess strong OOP and design pattern knowledge
• Familiar with modern engineering practices: Code Reviews, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing, etc
• You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability and experienced with TDD (Test Driven Development)
• You’ve the ability to build RESTful APIs
• Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support team, and fellow engineers is not a problem for you
• Well versed with the fundamentals of computer science and distributed systems

Nice-to-haves

• FrontEnd experience; have built applications in either: React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte
• Startup experience, preferably a tech startup
• Open Source contributor
• You have experience with other programming languages -- e.g. Python, Ruby, PHP, Go, C, etc.
