Job Description 

As an Angular UI + DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our applications UI as well as infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with our development, operations, and QA teams to ensure smooth and efficient software delivery. 

Responsibilities 

-Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and maintainable software applications using Angular 19. 

-DevOps Integration: Implement and manage DevOps practices to streamline the development, testing, and deployment processes. 

-Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration and delivery. 

-Performance Optimization: Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications across various devices and platforms. 

-Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; conduct code reviews to maintain quality standards. 

-Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve development processes and application performance. 

Requirements 

-Experience: 5 to 9 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on Angular 19 and DevOps practices. 

Technical Skills: 

-Proficiency in Angular 19, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript. 

-Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). 

-Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services. 

Soft Skills: 

-Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. 

-Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 

-Ability to work in an Agile development environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

-Experience with additional front-end frameworks or libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js). 

-Certifications in DevOps or cloud technologies. 

-Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools 

-Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. 

Experience: 3-4 years of experience in ReactJS, JS, TypeScript, NextJS frontend technologies.

-Developing new user-facing features using ReactJS, JS, TypeScript, NextJS, HTML5, CSS.

-Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

-Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code

Skills:

-Strong expertise in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

-Strong experience of ReactJS and its core principles like states, hooks, HoC etc

-Experience with popular ReactJS workflows (such as Redux or Flux)

-Strong expertise in NextJS and performance tuning

-Good with RESTful APIs

-Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

-Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

-Experience with common front-end development tools such as Webpack, NPM, etc.

About the role

Having found exceptional product/market fit, we’re in the midst of transitioning from 'start-up' to ‘scale-up’, and looking for a senior frontend engineer to help us scale Plum, and spearhead the frontend of our product.

You will have a direct impact on the customer experience through the design and implementation of new features and functionalities in our product. You'll work as part of a small but rapidly growing high-energy team delivering incredible, creative improvements to our product. You'll be in charge of reviewing the implementation of applications following code standards and style guides. You would analyze and build UI Pattern Libraries (Design Systems, UI Kits, etc.)

• Spec, build, test, and deliver new features while improving the performance and quality of the product.

About you: 

We are looking to add an immensely talented Senior Front End Engineer that will help us invent, design, refine and deliver products that will meet our vision. Expect to build a lot of web interfaces and dashboards both for the browser as well as native IoT enabled terminals that will be placed at the manufacturers' premises. You need to lead the front end team to make sure they are delivering high quality code and are constantly inspired to experiment with tools to push out MVPs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• You are empowered to work directly with leadership and the product team to make decisions about your code and future of the product.
• Deliver high quality modular code deployed over web, mobile and native IoT enabled terminals that leverage REST-based services and real time sockets.. This would include visual dashboards and real time optimizations that are critical for the manufacturing process.
• Have a strong emphasis on shipping features quickly without sacrificing code quality. Be ready to build a lot of MVPs that will go through iteration or be completely scrapped depending on the outcome at the customer end.
• Own your Agile projects and lead the team from software design to implementation and deployment. Maintain sprints, delivery timelines and contribute to better managing the engineering team.
• Transform UI designs and mockups into pages and flows using CSS3 and JavaScript frameworks. Be ready to do the mockups yourself sometimes.
• Build a culture of simplicity and pragmatism, which is reflected in your elegant code that other developers emulate and you ensure through thorough code reviews and processes.
• Have an exceptional understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and service workers and command over the internals of JavaScript, React and Redux.
• Continuously evaluate existing engineering processes and recommend improvements.

Required Skills and qualification:

• 4+ years’ experience developing rich UI/Front-end for user-facing web applications.
• Strong experience with React or similar frameworks, TypeScript, SSR (Server Side Rendering), SPA (Single Page Application), PWA (Progressive Web application), OOP (Object Oriented Programming), Reactive programming, and Unit tests.
• Demonstrated ability to function as a project leader as well as an individual contributor.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
