Software Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking for a good JavaScript developer who is proficient with React.js. Your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important.

Responsibilities

• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Skills:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (Redux)
• Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript
• Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
• Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Familiarity with code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial)

This person MUST have:

• BE Computer Science, MCA or equivalent
• Extreme CSS skills
• Experience with ReactJS or NextJS is a MUST
• Strong communication skills
• A strong passion for writing simple, clean and efficient code.
• Sound knowledge of clean code, no unused code, optimized code and more.
• Always starting with a document and then implementing in a systematic and organized manner
• Past experience as a frontend developer building modern JavaScript-based web applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, decision making and

influencing skills.

Experience:

• Min 5 years experience
• Not more than 15 year experience.
• Startup experience is a must. 

Location

• Remotely, anywhere in India

Timings:

• 40 hours a week but with 4 hours a day overlapping with client timezone.  Typically clients are in California PST Timezone.

You have a knack for product and strongly equipped with engineering skills to make it a reality. You don’t jump into implementation unless you have clearly understood the problem/requirements. You don’t hesitate asking questions and giving critical reviews while respecting others’ opinions. You are a fearless engineer, and not afraid to fail, not on production though ;) You have a strong sense of ownership. You have a startup experience. You don’t feel annoyed if required to work on off days in case of production incidents (no development).

Your responsibilities:

We have three portals for different types of users and they are written in Angular. Your primary responsibility will be to provide impeccable user experience to the users on all forms of devices. You will be leading the effort of overhaul of one of the portals which we want to partly rewrite. Your Angular, JavaScript and design skills will matter the most here. Apart from this, you will be involved in all design discussions and code reviews and expected to give your inputs to ensure the best frontend development practices are followed. You will support your team members when they are facing challenges, and mentor them when appropriate.

Must-have Skills:

• 4-8 years of total experience
• 2+ years of experience in Angular. You must be pro at it. The team will be looking up to you for making most out of Angular.
• Extensive programming experience in HTML5, CSS3, SASS or LESS, and Bootstrap
• Excellent Javascript knowledge and programming experience with ES5/ES6 and TypeScript
• Experience consuming REST APIs
• Responsive design methodologies and techniques

Good-To-Have Skills:

• Experience with UI testing and automation frameworks
• Experience of Chart.js
• Experience of ReactJS

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the product development and maintenance. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills. 

Responsibilities:

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Analyze and resolve performance bottle necks
• Participate in code reviews

Technical:

• Expert in Programming using Angular 4/6/8, C#, Web API, Entity Framework, LINQ to Entities.
• Should have strong database design and development skills in Relational DBMS and Non-Relational Databases (No SQL).
• Experience in integrations
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies – Agile/Scrum
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, Design Concepts & Whitebox Unit Testing
• Good understanding of Web Security Concepts
• Experience in hosting & maintenance of applications in virtual servers with CI/CD

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Must have experience in product development

Work Location: Remote (Anywhere in Hyderabad)

• Strong development experience of 2 years using front end technologies such as HTML,  JavaScript, CSS, JQuery, HTML5, React JS, Angular 4 or higher , Type Script
• Skilled at Object Oriented JavaScript and having a working knowledge of at least one of  the following MVC Frameworks (Angular, Ember, React etc.)
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment) 
• Understanding of common frontend design patterns for developing high performance, user friendly and robust applications
