Job Title: Senior Software Engineer (P3)

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with strong backend development experience in Java and Spring Boot. The candidate will be responsible for building scalable microservices and REST APIs while working in a collaborative agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java & Spring Boot
• Build and consume REST APIs
• Work on microservices architecture
• Implement event-driven systems using Kafka
• Handle database operations using JPA/Hibernate
• Collaborate with frontend teams (Angular)
• Ensure code quality, performance, and scalability
• Participate in code reviews and debugging

Required Skills:

What You Will Do:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend systems using Python.

• Design and implement REST APIs and socket-based communication.

• Optimize code for speed, performance, and reliability.

• Collaborate with frontend teams to integrate server-side logic.

• Work with RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis, and Elasticsearch for robust backend design.

• Build fault-tolerant, multi-producer/consumer systems.

Must-Have Skills:

• 3–4 years of experience in Python and backend development.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, sockets, and network protocols (TCP/UDP/HTTP).

• Experience with RabbitMQ/Kafka, SQL & NoSQL databases, Redis, and Elasticsearch.

What you'll do:

· Perform complex application programming activities with an emphasis on mobile development: Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, RESTful APIs and related backend frameworks

· Assist in the definition of system architecture and detailed solution design that are scalable and extensible

· Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other engineers on different permutations to find the best solution possible

· Own the quality of code and do your own testing. Write unit test and improve test coverage.

We are looking for an Engineering Leader with a focus on building maintainable and scalable applications. The Lead will be responsible for the design and development of Jodo’s fee payments platform and be owning one of the products/verticals. Leads will be closely working

with Product Managers and Founders to execute projects from ideation to completion. As a hands-on Team Lead, you will take ownership of services/systems and guide a team of
