In this role, you will build the intelligent layer that transforms unstructured, multi-modal clinical data into actionable insights for healthcare providers, pharmaceutical partners, and financial stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect GenAI Solutions: Design and deploy scalable Generative AI systems, specifically focusing on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures to query complex clinical datasets.
- Clinical NLP & Data Structuring: Develop LLM-based pipelines to extract, normalize, and structure data from messy, unstructured medical records and electronic health records (EHR).
- Model Optimization: Fine-tune open-source and proprietary LLMs for medical domain specificity, ensuring high precision, reduced hallucination, and clinical relevance.
- Agentic Workflows: Build AI agents capable of navigating complex healthcare workflows, from patient eligibility screening to longitudinal data analysis.
- Production-Grade Deployment: Collaborate with data engineers to integrate AI models into a robust production environment, ensuring security, data privacy (HIPAA/GDPR compliance), and low-latency performance.
- Leadership & Innovation: Act as a technical subject matter expert, staying ahead of the curve in LLM research and applying "state-of-the-art" techniques to real-world healthcare challenges.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of total experience in Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
- Deep GenAI Expertise: Proven track record of building and deploying LLM-powered applications (using frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Haystack).
- Strong NLP Background: Significant experience with Natural Language Processing, especially in entity extraction and semantic search.
- Technical Stack: * Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
- Experience with Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus).
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and MLOps practices.
- Data Savvy: Experience working with complex, high-dimensional datasets.
- Education: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent deep industry experience).
