Position Overview:We are looking for a skilled Node.js / AI Engineer to join our Lighthouse Tech Team. This role is focused on application development, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent, AI-powered applications. You will leverage your expertise in Node.js and modern AI technologies to build sophisticated systems that feature Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust and scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js.
• Design, build, and integrate AI-powered features into our core applications.
• Implement and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to ensure accurate and context-aware responses.
• Develop and orchestrate autonomous AI agents to automate complex tasks and workflows.
• Work with third-party LLM APIs (like OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and open-source models, fine-tuning and adapting them for specific use cases.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to define application requirements and deliver high-quality, AI-driven solutions.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of AI-powered applications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in backend application development with a strong focus on Node.js.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in AI-related development, including building applications that integrate with Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Demonstrable experience developing AI agents and implementing RAG patterns.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and libraries relevant to application development (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Experience with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Chroma, Weaviate) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

We enable anyone to buy 1 gig of data access at a time at a price they can afford. Sachetization of internet access is the foundation to rebuilding internet for all. We do this by leveraging crypto and blockchain to truly make internet infrastructure ownership distributed — our vision is to be connectivity layer for the Web3 world.

• Strong engineering background preferably in Computer Science
• Experience architecting, developing, and testing full-stack code end-to-end
• Experience working with relational & NoSQL databases
• Experience with AWS services
• Experience working with MERN Stack, performing unit/feature testing, and managing REST APIs.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Knowledge of any one frontend framework/libraries like Angular/VueJs/ReactJS.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools like GIT, SVN.
• Experience in building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
• Experience in designing and developing responsive design websites with any frontend css frameworks like Bootstrap/Tailwind CSS.
• Build backend APIs and services that power new products that interact with Solana (or other) blockchains
• Build front-end Web3 interfaces that interact with your backend code
• Participate in design discussions with business users, web producers and engineering teams.
• Perform requirements analysis, high-level design, effort estimation for new business requirements and feature enhancements.
• Write clean, concise, and sustainable code.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to build scalable software solutions and to be part of our cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

You should have

• Degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Strong knowledge and understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript
• Knowledge of multiple frontend languages and frameworks including HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript and React.
• Knowledge of backend languages and frameworks primarily Node.js
• Familiarity with SQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes would be a plus.
• Leadership skills for guiding and mentoring team mates.
• Understanding of CI/CD Concepts
• Awareness of key concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
