Position Overview:

As a Java Developer at F22 Labs, you’ll be responsible for developing high-performance, scalable applications using core Java and cutting-edge technologies like Spring, Hibernate, and microservices. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based applications that scale.
• Collaborate with the design, product, and backend teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Build microservices-based architectures using modern tools and techniques.
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs to connect various services and systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to ensure long-term quality.
• Develop and manage database interactions using Hibernate/JPA for efficient data persistence.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Stay current with the latest Java frameworks and technologies.
• Collaborate with the QA team to ensure every release is flawless and fully tested.

Mandatory Skills:

• Core Java (Java 8 or later) – Expertise in Java programming and understanding of object-oriented principles.
• SQL & Database Management – Strong experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.
• Hibernate / JPA – Hands-on experience with Hibernate and JPA for ORM-based data persistence.
• RESTful APIs – In-depth knowledge of designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Spring Framework – Solid expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security.

Good to Have Skills (Bonus Points!):

• Microservices Architecture – Experience in building and deploying microservices-based applications.
• Version Control – Familiarity with Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Build Tools – Experience with Maven or Gradle for automated build processes.
• Unit Testing – Knowledge of JUnit and Mockito for unit testing.

Selection Process:

1. Online Assessment
2. 1-2 rounds of technical interviews (Let’s talk about your Java expertise and problem-solving skills!)

• 8 - 11 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years on GUI development
• Experience on Java, HTML, CSS and Java script
• Experience with write SQL or equivalent queries on relational or NoSQL databases e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, MongoDB, Cassandra

Work as a member of a team responsible for developing a HIPAA compliant secure care coordination platform in accordance with established processes. You will apply your knowledge of building scalable, distributed applications and have the opportunity to work with new technologies & frameworks such as Spring Cloud Netflix, AWS, Azure, NoSQL DB.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following. 

You will be expected to:

• Contribute to all phases in the software lifecycle – requirements analysis, solution design, development, and deployment
• Maintain high quality standards for the work undertaken and be responsible for the quality of deliverables
• Ensure assigned projects are developed in accordance with established engineering processes, adhering to scope, schedule constraints and agile project plans
• Guide/mentor the less experienced team members
• Participate in code reviews
• Work effectively as part of a distributed team
• Document the features worked by him/her

Key technical expertise areas expected for this role:

Strong programming skills in Java 8(+) with clear understanding of Object-Oriented and Functional programming. 

• Experience on REST API Programming based on a Microservices Architecture
• Good Understanding of Databases (MySQL & Mongo) and proficiency in database schema designing & writing efficient SQL Queries 
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Demonstrable ability to learn new programming languages and frameworks quickly
• Experience with distributed systems with specific focus on security and scalability
• Experience with modern cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure

Additional areas that would add value:

• Spring Cloud 
• Experience working with AES 256 based encryption algorithms
• Strong understanding of Design Patterns & their application in system design
• Using DevOps & Infrastructure tooling such as GoCD/Jenkins, Git
• Experience working on  projects, preferably in the healthcare domain
• Experience working with Virtualization and Containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes.
• Automated Unit/Integration testing
• Experience working with Linux and Shell scripting 
• Frontend web development with JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS
• Test Driven & Behavior Driven Development
• Experience working in Agile Scrum/Kanban methodologies

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors or Master’s in Computer Science or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience

• IIT/NIT Graduates Preferred
• B.E/B.Tech with 1-2 years of experience in Ruby on Rails
• Hands on experience with using libraries such as RSpec, Beanstalkd, Faye and   background processing.
• Good knowledge of at least one of the Javascript frameworks like EmberJS, AngularJS
• Have a background in functional composition of web pages using HTML / CSS, and  turning a wireframe design into a well-formatted, user-friendly responsive web page
• Follow best practices like test-driven development, continuous integration, Agile    methodology, refactoring and code standards
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools e.g. Git, Mercurial or SVN
• Good knowledge of schema less databases such as Elastic search, redis as well as  Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL
• Excellent problem solving skills and bringing in new, innovative ideas to the table to  make the platform more productive
• Hands-on experience on deployment and maintenance of server (knowledge about AWS  and performance monitoring tools like NewRelic / CloudWatch will be a great plus)

Experience :

- 4-5 years of experience in application development and deployment,

- Application implementation with REST APIs and message integration workflows.

- Ability to implement and analyze application diagnostics and telemetry both from application and from platform.
