Role Description

This is a full-time role for a React.js Developer who will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing responsive and scalable web applications. The successful candidate will work closely with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product teams to convert designs and requirements into high-quality, production-ready applications. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take ownership of features from development through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop responsive and scalable web applications using React.js.
• Build reusable and maintainable frontend components.
• Convert UI/UX designs and Figma prototypes into functional web interfaces.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.
• Manage application state using Redux, Context API, Zustand, or similar technologies.
• Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Debug and resolve frontend issues across development and production environments.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA, and product teams.
• Participate in code reviews and follow clean coding and development practices.
• Write and maintain appropriate tests for frontend applications.
• Stay updated with modern frontend technologies and best practices.
• Take ownership of features from development and testing through deployment and maintenance.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and React.js.
• Good understanding of React Hooks, component architecture, props, state, and Context API.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 and responsive web development.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with JSON.
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or similar.
• Experience with Git and GitHub/GitLab.
• Understanding of frontend performance optimization and browser debugging.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in frontend development with React.js.
• Experience with TypeScript and Next.js is preferred.
• Familiarity with UI libraries such as Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or similar is a plus.
• Experience with frontend testing tools such as Jest, Vitest, or React Testing Library is a plus.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• A proactive approach to learning and solving technical problems.

Candidates with strong practical experience, personal projects, GitHub contributions, or demonstrable frontend work may also be considered in place of extensive professional experience.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on React.js.
• Proven experience with React.js and related technologies (e.g., Redux, React Router, Hooks, Context API).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Server Sent Events, WebSockets
• Hand’s on experience with web components, microfrontends
• Deep understanding of browser apis like history, intersectionobserver, event handling, virtual panes, drag and drop etc
• Ability to work on a complex and fast moving code base.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and its integration with React applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

What will you do every day?

As a front-end tech lead you will be responsible for building the Haptik platform which is used by people across the globe. You will be working closely with the product, design and platform team on a day to day basis and be responsible for the look and feel of the product. - Work closely with the backend engineers to understand the Interkat Platform and build for scale

- High-level estimating and scoping/breaking down of tasks

- Document features to make them easily understandable to clients

- Participate in code reviews, automated and functional testing, and other aspects of our quality assurance process

- Use and promote standard good coding practices

- Fully participate in a scrum-based, agile development team

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices

- Work experience around optimizing build artifacts and performance monitoring

- Following security standards when using cookies/others to store user information etc.

Requirements :

- 5+ years of experience working on React.js

- Prior experience of leading/mentoring a team is a plus

- Knowledge of flux and redux

- Must have extensive experience working on Javascript, HTML, CSS, animations and UI/UX principles.

- Knowledge of backend technologies is a plus

- Good attention to detail, pixel perfect designs

- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent

- Good Communication skills

- Hustler with the passion for writing good code

- Team player

- Must have experience in working in an agile environment, exposure to tools like Jira would be an added benefit.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

• In depth knowledge of HTML5 • In depth knowledge of CSS3 (Less, Sass, Stylus is a plus), knowledge of BEM methodology is preferred

• Developing and providing maintenance support for WordPress site

QUALIFICATIONS

• Understanding of JSON, Lottie, Web Authentication, Bootstrap, React, Storybook, and Invision.
