Frontend Developer

Brief:

We are pursuing a complex set of problems that involve building for an international audience and for an industry that has largely been service-centric. As an SDE at GradRight, you’ll bring an unmatched customer-centricity to your work, with a focus on building for the long term and large scale.

You’ll be part of the Innovation Projects team at GradRight. This team works on third party integrations and adopting new tools/technologies to help build a cutting edge platform for the higher education space.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to design discussions and decisions around building scalable and modular frontend.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and actively contribute to scaling the engineering organization from a process perspective
• Stay on top of the software engineering ecosystem and propose new technologies/methodologies that can be adopted
• Contribute to engineering hiring by conducting interviews
• Champion infrastructure as code mindset and encourage automation

Requirements:

• At least 3 years experience as an SDE
• Strong experience with at least one frontend framework, preferably vue.js
• Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns
• Passion for solving complex problems
• Really quick learner and able to dive deep into new ideas/experiments at breakneck speed
• Passion for trying out new technologies and focusing on iterative development
• Experience with team management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Worked in a full-stack capacity at high growth startups

Requirements:

>5+ years of IT experience in the development of scalable consumer-facing digital solutions (consumer websites, web applications, mobile sites etc) in HTML, CSS3 and JavaScript framework is required

>Strong understanding of semantic HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3.
>Experience in frameworks like Bootstrap, Foundation and CSS preprocessors like SASS and LESS.
>Strong knowledge of JS-based build tools like Grunt, Gulp, and Webpack
>Experience in javaScript with a good grasp of advanced JavaScript-based Vue JS, React JS and Angular JS
>Experience with implementing SVG animations and expertise in GreenSock(GSAP) will be an add on qualification.

Job Description

SUMMARY

We are looking for a Angular Developer (Angular Experts) responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users.

• Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Participate on project teams as needed to develop and deploy software solutions to meet business requirements
• Create and deploy cloud-hosted web applications and content management systems as well as internal tools and frameworks
• Participate in AGILE project methodology and conform to coding standards including git workflow and code reviews.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong proficiency with JavaScript
• Experience in creating and deploying cloud-based web applications.
• Good at Jade, EJS,
• Good at CSS preprocessors (such as Stylus, Less, etc depending on your technology stack)
• Front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

passion for all things JavaScript, having built complex single-page applications on React/Redux for at least 2 years.

Profound understanding of HTML, CSS, and browser capabilities to build beautiful, fast and snappy applications.

Comfortable with jest for writing unit and integration tests/puppeteer for e2e tests.

Curiosity to remain updated with the newest technologies and frameworks. Intuition for usability and UI design, with an ability to balance polish with the constraints of timing and scope.

Comfort with any of WebRTC/Backend Stack/React Native is a strong plus.

Most importantly, love coding and debugging gnarly problems! 

• Deep knowledge of Angular practices and commonly used modules based on extensive work experience
• Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5
• Extensive knowledge of CSS3 and JS methods for providing performance visual effects and keeping the frame rate above 30fps at all times
• Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system
• Creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of core Angular
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
