Fresher Developer

About the Role 

We're seeking a Junior .NET Developer with 2 years of experience to join our insurtech team. This role offers an opportunity to work with cloud technologies and contribute to our existing codebase and cloud migration initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Write clean, maintainable code using C# and .NET Framework (.NET Core, ASP.NET, web API) 
• Develop new features and participate in microservices architecture development 
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality 
• Work with MS SQL Server - write Stored Procedures, Views, and Functions 
• Support Azure cloud integration and automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps 
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams and senior architects on migration initiatives 
• Estimate work, break down deliverables, and deliver to deadlines 
• Take ownership of your work with focus on quality and continuous improvement 

Requirements 

Essential 

• 2 years of experience with C# and .NET development 
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts and Design Patterns 
• MS SQL Server programming experience 
• Experience working on critical projects 
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently and in teams 

Desirable 

• Microsoft Azure experience (App Service, Functions, SQL Database, Service Bus) 
• Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture 
• DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience (Azure DevOps preferred) 
• Front-end development with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React

Primary Skills (Must have):

• C# with good understanding of OOPS, design patterns and multi-threading

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of Unit Testing and Automated tests (nUnit)

This is what you will do

• Interface with the QA teams to ensure that the product meets desired quality standards
• Strong individual contributor who can develops excellent application without much supervision
• Excellent team player who can collaborate with other engineers to ship quality product in timely manner
• Assist Engineers in estimating effort, assigning tasks to engineers and tracking deliverables
• Research on new technologies, libraries and frameworks as per project needs
• Help maintain code quality, follow coding standards and guidelines
• Communicate on assignment progress / completion on a frequent basis

Educational Background:

• Engineering Graduate / Post Graduate Degree holder / MCA

Professional Experience:

• 4 – 7 Years of software development experience using Java/J2EE

Tech Skills

• Have very good hands on experience of Core Java, Spring, Hibernate and related JEE technologies
• Have good understanding of data structure and algorithms
• Good in programming fundamentals
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web technologies
• Basic understanding of RDBMS concepts, preferably using MySQL
• Good understanding of client-server architecture and multi-threading
• Knowledge of Web Services, XML and socket programming is plus
• Have very strong problem-solving skills
