Job Summary:

As a Shopify App Developer at [Your Company Name], you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications for the Shopify platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions that meet our clients' needs and improve their eCommerce operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Shopify app development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• App Development: Design, develop, and deploy custom Shopify apps using Shopify’s API, Polaris, and other relevant technologies.
• Customization: Customize and extend Shopify’s existing functionalities to meet specific client requirements.
• Integration: Integrate Shopify apps with third-party services, APIs, and data sources as needed.
• Maintenance & Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Shopify apps and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to ensure that app solutions align with project goals and client expectations.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of applications to ensure reliability, performance, and adherence to Shopify’s standards.
• Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation for code, processes, and app functionality.
• Innovation: Stay updated with the latest Shopify developments, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve app functionality and user experience.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in developing Shopify apps, including a portfolio of past projects or apps.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Shopify’s APIs, Liquid templating language, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and familiarity with Shopify Polaris design system.
• Programming Languages: Strong knowledge of backend programming languages such as Ruby, PHP, or Node.js.
• Database Management: Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

·    What you’ll be doing:

  Architecting and delivering mid to large scale Enterprise Applications on Microsoft Platform.

·      Recommending and participating in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Enterprise Application Architecture.

Delivering projects on time with quality.

·      Provide technical leadership regarding technology or project to customers and team members

·      Shares best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies and knowledge related to recent, current and up-coming vendor products and solutions.

·      Participate in technical forums and discussion within the team and with clients.

·      Guides and mentors’ team in terms of technical solutioning.

What you’ll bring to the team:

·      You have 15+ years of experience in Strong design & coding experience in Dot net framework using design patterns & OOPs concepts.

·      You have practical knowledge & good understanding of cross technology and functional domains, programming concepts and logical approach for problem solving.

You hold rich experience on web development technologies including ASP.NET, MVC5, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, AJAX, XML and CSS.

·      You have experience in web application Architecture and Development with hands on expertise in delivering solutions, customizing C#, ASP.Net applications using development tools like Visual Studio 2010/2012.

• As a Senior Software Engineer you will work closely with the Tech Lead, and the rest of the engineering team to build and scale a data-driven platform. This role will act as a great springboard to accelerate career growth & transition into a Tech Lead level role.
• Your primary focus will be the development of server-side logic, building new services and APIs, developing core business logic, supporting the maintenance of current APIs, reviewing work, and improving the performance and reliability of our systems as we rapidly scale our product and organization.
• An effective Senior Software Engineer will be a self-motivated learner; a highly creative engineer having obsessive attention towards detail and thoroughness.

Must Haves

• You’ve been building web applications professionally for 5+ years
• You’re proficient in PHP 7, Laravel, and PostgreSQL
• You possess strong OOP and design pattern knowledge
• Familiar with modern engineering practices: Code Reviews, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing, etc
• You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards maintainability and experienced with TDD (Test Driven Development)
• You’ve the ability to build RESTful APIs
• Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support team, and fellow engineers is not a problem for you
• Well versed with the fundamentals of computer science and distributed systems

Nice-to-haves

• FrontEnd experience; have built applications in either: React, Vue, Angular, or Svelte
• Startup experience, preferably a tech startup
• Open Source contributor
• You have experience with other programming languages -- e.g. NodeJS, Python, Ruby, Go, C, etc.
• Passionate about/experienced with open source and developer tools
• You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience

Bonus

• Experience deploying applications; AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.
• Experience with leading a team of 3+ developers

 B.E/B.Tech/M.C.A/M.Sc(Computer science ) with first division.

- AWS Cloud exposure.

- Basic skills in using the Unix operating system logging on, sudo to another ID, navigating directory structures, debugging simple problems.

- Hands-on experience with building enterprise applications.

- Excellent trouble-shooting skills.

- Thoroughly understanding business problems and the business domain, and how potential solutions may address problems and enhance business capabilities.

- Experience in designing/development (design patterns) and testing of enterprise class systems.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.
