We are based in Andheri East, Mumbai. It will be a work from an office job, with a complete freehand, fun-filled politics-free environment, supportive culture and immense chance of growth. There are two open profiles, one senior and one mid-level, both for PHP Developers.

• Hiring Mode : Permanent
• Working hour :  Malaysian Hour (9am – 6pm)
• Minimun : 8 years in PHP Developement
• Preferred Candidate currently in Malaysia, willing to work and based In Pulau Indah, Selangor. If candidate currently in home country, willing to relocate to Malaysia after getting Malaysian EP approval is a Must.

• Thoroughly assess the requirement details and conduct feasibility study.
• Work with Project Manager or Project Coordinator on the task/module release plan.
• Propose solution on the implementation which meets the requirement.
• Full stack development which includes, front-end, back-end, middleware with database optimization.
• Writing efficient and well-structured code. Frequent update and altering the application codes to enhance performance.
• Documentation within the code is a must to provide reference and description to the other developers.
• Assist in the application technical documentation.
• Lead the development by monitoring a group of developers.
• Provide assistance and guidance on the application development.
• Verify the codes done by the other developers (Juniors).
• Troubleshooting application and code issues.

• Design, develop and manage data on various open-source SQL databases
• End-to-end performance tuning of Oracle, MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Aurora against very large data sets
• Database cluster connectivity and security
• Conduct database training
• Software installation and configuration
• Database patching and upgrading
• Using monitoring and management tools
• Troubleshoot various issues with other dba’s/developers
• Point of Contact for Vendor escalation
• Point of Contact for professional service to Customers
• Cross-platform migration from Oracle to MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL/Aurora
• Support the creation, maintenance, and implementation of procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected
• Ensures project documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Manages day-to-day project and scope changes
• Communicate and coordinate database changes, backups, and downtime to users
• Identifies potential security issues and recommend strategies to ensure database security
• Research and evaluate new technologies
• Proactively monitor systems for optimum performance and capacity constraints
• Establish standards and best practices for SQL
• Interact with and coach developers in SQL scripting
• Perform database backup and recovery
• Provides 24x7 support for enterprise database systems

• Must provide mentoring and training to other staff members
• Write procedural documentation including requirements for databases
• Develop and coordinate knowledge transfer
• Establishes enterprise-wide uniform infrastructure, including supporting defined departmental content processes and creating guidelines for content deployment
• Interacts with business units to gather, define, and organize the delivery of business solutions Data

• Candidate with a college degree and relevant work experience
• 7+ years of hands-on DBA experience with Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL and supporting tools
• Strong experience with Linux is required, including command-line editors, scripting (shell, Python, Perl, etc.)
• Experience in database performance tuning and strong SQL tuning skills
• Experience in database and cross-platform upgrades required Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and production support
• Must be familiar with RDBMS concepts, practices, and procedures
• Must have knowledge of network connectivity
• Extensive experience with Export/Import, Backup and Recovery
• Extensive experience with Database Replication Master/Slave, Master/Master (BDR)
• Extensive experience with MySQL (MariaDB, Percona) Galera cluster
• Experience with MaxScale
• Proficient in SQL Language
• Knowledge of ServiceNow, or similar Ticket Management Software
• Knowledge of SAN infrastructure including HP and NetApp
• Ability to work on projects at a time
• Knowledge of middle-tier application servers
• Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills
• Good knowledge of Data Modeling
• Knowledge of XML and JDBC

• Experience of NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Oracle NoSQL, MongoDB) is a plus
• Certifications on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Aurora

Key Result Areas

• Min. 3 years of PHP coding experience in PHP frameworks
• Mandatory knowledge of any/all of these frameworks like CakePHP, Laravel, CI, Zend (Preferably CakePHP).
• Should have strong CORE PHP skills
• Should have strong MYSQL skills - Query writing, Indexing , Store procedure
• Should have API writing Skills with security.

Your core responsibilities:

• Create elegant, efficient and maintainable software to support and extend our current products.
• Solve complex architectural challenges when implementing new features.
• Integrate with databases, file systems, cloud services when delivering scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot and fix reported customer issues, delivering software patches as needed.
• Assisting in making design decisions based on performance, scalability, security, and future expansion.
• Communicating and collaborating with management, product, QA teams.

What will help you thrive in this role?

• Degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
• Proficiency in web development using any of the languages: PHP, Python, Java, NodeJS or Golang.
• Should possess a solid grasp of object-oriented programming, system architecture & design, databases, development, and testing methodologies.
• Good in Design (HLD and LLD).
• Good in Database schema design.
• Good to have experience with AWS or Google Cloud or Azure and serverless architecture.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Track record of delivering successful products as an engineer.
• Experience with large applications of some scale will be a plus.
• Ability to deep dive, understand & improve the legacy code.
• Domain knowledge of supply chain & retail industry is a plus.

• 3-5 Years of experience in Backend Development.
• Must have experience in Python (FLASK framework).
