Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud platforms and a passion for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing our cloud infrastructure, optimizing deployment pipelines, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources to ensure efficient utilization and cost management.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline. Automate build, test, and deployment processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Configuration Management: Utilize configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to automate provisioning and configuration of infrastructure. Ensure consistency and repeatability of environments across development, staging, and production.
• Monitoring and Logging: Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure. Use tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Security and Compliance: Implement best practices for cloud security, including IAM policies, security groups, and data encryption. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications. Provide support for infrastructure-related issues and incidents, participating in on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a DevOps role with a focus on AWS cloud services.
• Technical Skills: 
• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, and IAM.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar certifications.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, GCP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams.

Experience

* 2+ year of experience working as a Devops/DevSecOps Engineer

* BE in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience

* Must have actively managed infrastructure components & devops for high quality and high scale products

* Proficient knowledge and experience on infra concepts - Networking/Load Balancing/High Availability

* Experience on designing and configuring infra in cloud service providers - AWS / GCP / AZURE

* Knowledge on Secure Infrastructure practices and designs

* Experience with DevOps, DevSecOps, Release Engineering, and Automation

* Experience with Agile development incorporating TDD / CI / CD practices

Hands on Skills

* Proficient in atleast one high level Programming Language: Go / Java / C

* Proficient in scripting - bash scripting etc - to build/glue together devops/datapipeline workflows

* Proficient in Cloud Services - AWS / GCP / AZURE

* Hands on experience on CI/CD & relevant tools - Jenkins / Travis / Gitops / SonarQube / JUnit / Mock frameworks

* Hands on experience on Kubenetes ecosystem & container based deployments - Kubernetes / Docker / Helm Charts / Vault / Packer / lstio / Flyway

* Hands on experience on Infra as code frameworks - Terraform / Crossplane / Ansible

* Version Control & Code Quality: Git / Github / Bitbucket / SonarQube

What will you do ?

Devops

* Provisioning the infrastructure using Crossplane/Terraform/Cloudformation scripts.

* Creating and Managing the AWS EC2, RDS, EKS, S3, VPC, KMS and IAM services, EKS clusters & RDS Databases.

* Monitor the infra to prevent outages/downtimes and honor our infra SLAs

* Deploy and manage new infra components.

* Update and Migrate the clusters and services.

* Reducing the cloud cost by enabling/scheduling for less utilized instances.

* Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as experts in - product, design, engineering

* Uphold best practices in Devops/DevSecOps and Infra management with attention to security best practices

DevSecOps

* Cloud Security Assessment & Automation

* Modify existing infra to adhere to security best practices

* Perform Threat Modelling of Web/Mobile applications

* Integrate security testing tools (SAST, DAST) in to CI/CD pipelines

* Incident management and remediation - Monitoring security incidents, recovery from and remediation of the issues

* Perform frequent Vulnerabiltiy Assessments/Penetration Testing for Web, Network and Mobile applications

* Ensure the environment is compliant to CIS, NIST, PCI etc.

• Design, Develop, deploy, and run operations of infrastructure services in the Acqueon AWS cloud environment
• Manage uptime of Infra & SaaS Application
• Implement application performance monitoring to ensure platform uptime and performance
• Building scripts for operational automation and incident response
• Handle schedule and processes surrounding cloud application deployment
• Define, measure, and meet key operational metrics including performance, incidents and chronic problems, capacity, and availability
• Lead the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
• Build out lifecycle processes to mitigate risk and ensure platforms remain current, in accordance with industry standard methodologies
• Run incident resolution within the environment, facilitating teamwork with other departments as required
• Automate the deployment of new software to cloud environment in coordination with DevOps engineers
• Work closely with Presales, understand customer requirement to deploy in Production
• Lead and mentor a team of operations engineers
• Drive the strategy to evolve and modernize existing tools and processes to enable highly secure and scalable operations
• AWS infrastructure management, provisioning, cost management and planning
• Prepare RCA incident reports for internal and external customers
• Participate in product engineering meetings to ensure product features and patches comply with cloud deployment standards
• Troubleshoot and analyse performance issues and customer reported incidents working to restore services within the SLA
• Monthly SLA Performance reports

As a Cloud Operations Manager in Acqueon you will need…. 

• 8 years’ progressive experience managing IT infrastructure and global cloud environments such as AWS, GCP (must)
• 3-5 years management experience leading a Cloud Operations / Site Reliability / Production Engineering team working with globally distributed teams in a fast-paced environment
• 3-5 years’ experience in IAC (Terraform, K8)
• 3+ years end-to-end incident management experience
• Experience with communicating and presenting to all stakeholders
• Experience with Cloud Security compliance and audits
• Detail-oriented. The ideal candidate is one who naturally digs as deep as they need to understand the why
• Knowledge on GCP will be added advantage
• Manage and monitor customer instances for uptime and reliability
• Staff scheduling and planning to ensure 24x7x365 coverage for cloud operations
• Customer facing, excellent communication skills, team management, troubleshooting
