Embedded System Engineer

We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic SR. Business Development Associate to drive the growth and success of our online higher education programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and expanding companies’s market presence in the education sector. This role demands strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships with educational institutions, and a deep understanding of the online education landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

 Business Development & Lead Generation:

o Identify and secure new business opportunities by targeting universities, colleges, and educational institutions to promote our online higher education programs.

o Develop and implement strategies to generate new leads, including attendingevents, digital outreach, and cold calling.

o Cultivate long-term relationships with academic institutions, corporate partners, and key stakeholders in the higher education sector.

o Conduct in-depth research to identify potential clients and develop customized solutions to meet their educational needs.

o

 Sales & Partnership Management:

o Lead the sales process for acquiring new educational institutions and corporate partners for online programs.

o Present Shiksolve’s offerings through compelling presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to prospective clients.

o Negotiate contracts and agreements with institutions and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial relationships and revenue growth.

o Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including post-sale follow-up, relationship management, and upselling opportunities.

 Strategic Planning & Market Expansion:

o Develop and execute business development strategies that align with companies’s growth objectives.

o Analyze the competitive landscape, monitor industry trends, and identify emerging opportunities within the online education space.

o Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product development, and customer support) to ensure alignment between business objectives and educational offerings.

 Client Relationship Management:

o Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction and retention.

o Provide high-level support and guidance to clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all business development matters.

o Conduct regular check-ins with clients to identify new needs and upsell companie’s services.

 Reporting & Performance Analysis:

o Track and report on business development performance, including sales activities, pipeline, revenue forecasts, and performance metrics.

o Provide regular feedback to the leadership team regarding market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities.

 Collaboration & Teamwork:

o Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective marketing materials and campaigns that support business development goals.

o Work closely with the product and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and implementation of online programs.

o Participate in team meetings, sharing insights and strategies to continuously improve the business development process.

IT Infrastructure & System Administration 

• Manage Windows/Linux servers, desktop systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtual environments (VMware/Hyper-V) 

• Monitor system performance and implement improvements for efficiency and availability 

• Oversee patch management, backups, disaster recovery, and security configurations 

• Ensure IT compliance, conduct audits, and maintain detailed documentation

DevOps & Cloud Operations 

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools 

• Manage container orchestration using Kubernetes; deploy infrastructure using Terraform 

• Administer and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure 

• Automate deployment, monitoring, and alerting solutions for production environments 

Security, Maintenance & Support 

• Define and enforce IT and DevOps security policies and procedures 

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for system failures and outages 

• Provide Tier 2/3 support and resolve complex system and production issues 

Collaboration & Communication 

• Coordinate IT projects (e.g., upgrades, migrations, cloud implementations) 

• Collaborate with engineering and product teams for release cycles and production deployments 

• Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders and provide regular reporting 

Qualifications & Skills 

• Bachelor's or master’s in computer science, IT, or related field 

• 3-8 years of experience in IT systems administration and/or DevOps roles 

• Proficiency in: 

o Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Linux systems 

o Cloud platforms (preferably AWS) o CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.) 

o Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Python/Shell scripting 

o Database management (MySQL, MongoDB) 

• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, AWS, DevOps) are a plus 

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Windows operating systems. 

• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other Windows-based services. 

• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). 

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell). 

• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols. 

• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are a plus.

What will you do?

● Design, develop and maintain various Bioinformatics solutions for analyzing and managing Biological data as per our best practices and quality standards.

● Collaborate with Product Management and Software Engineers, to build bioinformatics solutions.

● Produce high quality and detailed documentation for all projects.

● Provide consultation and technical solutions to cross functional bioinformatics projects.

● Identify and/or conceive novel approaches to better and more efficiently analyze client and public datasets.

● Participate in defining the high-level application architecture for future roadmap requirements and features.

● Coach other team members by sharing domain and technical knowledge and code reviews.

● Participate in activities such as hiring and onboarding.

● Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the bioinformatics software and analytical pipelines development lifecycle.

● Ensure compliance with our SDLC process during product development.

● Stay up-to-date on technology to deliver quality at each phase of the product life-cycle. You take leadership in evangelizing technical excellence within the team.

What do you bring to the table?

● Ph.D. degree with 3-5+ years of postdoc or industrial experience or Masters Degree with 5-8+ years of industrial experience in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Bioengineering, Computational Biology or related field

● Excellent programming skills in Python and Shell scripting

● Experience with Relational database such as PostgreSQL, mySQL or Oracle

● Experience with version control systems such as GitHub.

● Experience with Linux/UNIX/Mac OS X based systems

● Experience with high-performance Linux cluster and cloud computing (AWS is preferred).

● Deep understanding of analytical approaches and tools for genomic data analysis along with familiarity with genomic databases. Candidates with proven expertise in the analysis of NGS data generated on sequencing platforms such as Illumina, Oxford Nanopore, or Thermo will be prioritized.

● Experience with open source bioinformatics tools and publicly available variant databases.

● Ability to manage moderately complex projects and initiatives.
