About the role 

Engineer new products and features, improve existing products and features. Help improve performance and reliability, or polish existing features. What are we looking for? 

3+ years working as a backend or full stack developer. 

Bachelor/Masters of engineering.

Better - Full stack engineer 1 

You're proficient with any part of our technology stack: React/Swift, TypeScript, Node.js, and Postgres. 

We are location agnostic, but in the same time zone India). We have a small garden office @ Jayanagar, Bangalore (home to some of the best dosas in India) to jam together on anything that requires space. 

You are not fixated about any one programming language & can learn new tech as needed. 

You are somebody who shares the same ethos. 

Bonus 

You have expertise in video or audio engineering skills. 

You contribute to open source projects. 

You've an interest in education & kids. 

You have interests outside of technology, such as in art, music or any performing art. 

What is our interview process? 

An initial 30 min call to understand each other at a high level. 

Work on a case study or assignment over the period of 2 weeks to ensure a good match. We care about effort & quality, and are happy to compensate fairly for the work put in) 

What will you do? | Responsibilities

 Design, code and integrate n-tier applications with different application components
 Have a passion for delivering zero defect code.
 Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner
 Work in Agile/Scrum teams and follow the guidelines

What you will need to have | Requirements

 5 - 10 years of relevant experience with software design, architecture and development life cycle.
 Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
 Full Stack Software Development experience in large scale mission critical applications.
 Solid experience in frameworks like Spring or Spring Boot, Sprint MVC, Hibernate , Microservices.
 Expertise with DBMS systems like MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra.
 Experience working on UI/Web development using Angular/React, JavaScript, JQuery, and HTML/CSS technologies is required. (Optional)
 Proficient in Web Services/API Development using SOAP or REST, JSON and XML.
 Proficient in GIT/Stash, Maven, Jenkins etc.

1. Design and develop game features from prototype to full implementation
2. Have Strong Unity 3D programming skills on C#, JavaScript to craft cutting edge immersive
mobile gaming experience
3. Understand cross-platform development and client server applications to give Players a
seamless and fun mobile gaming experience
4. Implement game functionality by translating design ideas, concepts, and requirements into
functional and engaging features in the game
5. Get involved in all areas of game development including Graphics, Game Logic, and User
Interface
6. Take ownership of the game and work closely with the Product and Design teams
7. Help maintain code quality by writing robust code to be used by millions of users
8. Develop crazy new experiences for our players and think outside the box to deliver
something new
9. Be proactive, support and contribute new ideas to game design.
10. Work experience of 4 - 10 years is preferable
11. Experience of team management is a plus

Responsibilities

• Work on end to end website development including frontend, backend and deployment. Build useful and handy tools in field of Admissions and consultancy
• Work on the core platform for Higher Education Aspirants with respect to admissions, resume building, interview experiences and application for B-Schools
• Build efficient, testable, and reusable modules and components
• REST API development for integration with frontend web components which would be easy to manage and scale
• Accurately understand and translate business and user needs into functional backend or frontend code to build robust features
• Participate in a culture of code reviews, writing tech specs, and collaborating closely with other people
• Writing standalone services with business logic to support automation workflows and integrations
• Support Marketing and Operations team with small tools, scripts or automations across multiple tools

 

Criteria

• Basic understanding of backend, database and Server technologies
• Knowledge of Frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JS, ReactJS, VueJS)
• Knowledge of atleast one Backend technologies (NodeJS, Python, ROR, GoLang etc)
• Understanding and knowledge of Database technologies (MySQL, MongoDB)
• Clear understanding of RESTful API development standards.
