Springer Capital is a real estate investment firm based in Chicago, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Springer engages in Capital Advisory for APAC Private Equity and Asset Management making financial investments in real estate and other sectors in US markets.

Springer seeks an Operations Intern to join the Technology side of the company. The internship can be onsite in Shanghai or conducted remotely. The start date of the internship is flexible.

Job Highlights:

As an intern for the Business Automation team, you will be focusing on researching and developing tools and workflow that automate some parts of our business automation. As business automation is important throughout the firm, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with teams across Springer.

What you will do as an intern:

Analyze business processes by working closely with other business team to understand the processes and identify areas that can be automated.

Design software solution that can automate business processes, mostly involving researching new automation tools.

Test and debug automation flows to ensure they function as intended.

Provide technical support to the business team and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Technical and legal Information:

The internship enrollment period is flexible. The expected hours are 20 per week for ~3 months. Upon completion, you will receive an internship confirmation letter, or you can apply to your school for internship credit.

Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.

JOB PURPOSE

• Develop application using Angular JS (worked on Express JS, JEST), Angular 6 
• This is a hands-on role which involves writing code, testing, and deploying finished web applications and libraries

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITY

• Design, rapid prototype, and implement a scalable, reliable and maintainable node based web application
• Enforce code quality through test driven development
• Enhance, refactor, and continuously improve the existing codebase
• Collaborate closely with team to define product requirements
• Aggressively collect, analyse, and act on data about product performance
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people
• Proactive in keeping your skills updated

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Excellent working knowledge of core Java, Node JS, JavaScript, ES6, Micro services
• 4-6 year's overall development experience (At least 2 years of experience in Node JS and Angular JS)
• Good understanding of security in Micro service and Web Applications
• Good understanding of OOP, and design patterns
• Experience in working with databases - SQL and Non-SQL Databases

EDUCATION

• Minimum education: Any Graduate BE/B.Tech would be desirable
• Languages: Excellent English written & spoken

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand their requirements and design scalable, reliable, and efficient machine learning platform solutions.
• Building and maintaining the applications and infrastructure to support end-to-end machine learning workflows, including inference and continual training.
• Developing systems for the definition deployment and operation of the different phases of the machine learning and data life cycles.
• Working within Kubernetes to orchestrate and manage containers, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance of applications.
• Documenting the platform's best practices, guidelines, and standard operating procedures and contributing to knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing and managing machine learning or data platforms
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in machine learning and data applications such as Python, Rust, Bash, Go
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated model training and deployment. Basic understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Knowledge of data storage solutions and database technologies commonly used in machine learning and data workflows.

What you need to have:

• Significant experience working with React web and mobile along with tools like Flux, Flow, Redux, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, functional programming, and front-end languages
• Strong knowledge of React fundamentals such as Virtual DOM, component lifecycle, and component state
• A complete understanding of the full mobile app development lifecycle right from prototyping
• Knowledge of type checking, unit testing, typescript, prop types, and code debugging
• Experience working with REST APIs, document request models, offline storage, and third-party libraries
• Strong understanding of web technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Knowledge of user interface design and responsive designs
• Well-versed in a variety of React Native software and technologies such as Jest, Enzyme, ESLint, and so on

Job Description:-

• Min 1 year or more of iOS App development experience.
• Proficient with Objective C and Swift
• Experience with iOS frameworks.
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
• Deep understanding of design patterns.
• Knowledge of using Cocoapods, Push Notifications, Payment Gateway and other third party SDKs and libraries.
• Location Tracking and Custom UI.
• Understanding of XML and JSON web services.
• Must have Publish at-least 1 iOS Application on AppStore.

Responsibilities and Duties:-

1. Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform and follow clean coding practices.
2. Collaborate with backend team to define, design, and ship new features.
3. Understand & Implement Design patterns / Industry best practices
4. Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
5. Write reusable codes adhering to SOLID principles.
6. Use profiling tools to optimize app performance.
7. Write algorithmic efficient codes.
8. Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
