The ideal candidate will have solid experience in building scalable backend systems using Java and AWS services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices and cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, deploy, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java (preferably Java 8 or above) and Spring Boot
• Design and implement microservices architecture with a focus on scalability and reliability
• Leverage AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, and CloudWatch for cloud-native development
• Work with Relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB)
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications in production using AWS CloudWatch or other logging tools
• Ensure secure, reliable, and efficient integration between services

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Java development with strong knowledge of Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Microservices, and API security
• Strong experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, API Gateway, etc.)
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes)
• Proficient in working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Good understanding of event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., SNS, SQS, Kafka)
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices is a plus
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer – Associate) is a plus
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

The data team sits across the UK and India whilst other teams sit across Dubai, Lebanon, Karachi and various cities in India.

Role Description

In this role you will use a range of tools and technologies to primarily working on providing data design, data governance, reporting and analytics on the Pampers App.

Responsibilities

● To be the Data Steward and drive governance having full understanding of all the data that flows through the Apps to all systems

● Work with the campaign team to do data fixes when issues with campaigns

● Investigate and troubleshoot issues with product and campaigns giving clear RCA and impact analysis

● Document data, create data dictionaries and be the “go to” person in understanding what data flows

● Build dashboards and reports using Amplitude, Power BI and present to the key stakeholders

● Carry out adhoc data investigations into issues with the app and present findings back querying data in BigQuery/SQL/CosmosDB

● Translate analytics into a clear powerpoint deck with actionable insights

● Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4+ years’ experience in an analytical role preferably working in product analytics with consumer app data

● Strong SQL Server and Power BI required

● You have experience with most or all of these tools – SQL Server, Python, Power BI, BigQuery.

● Understanding of mobile app data (Events, CTAs, Screen Views etc)

● Knowledge of data architecture and ETL
