Backend Developer

Must Have Skills:

• Overall 10+ years of experience in application development using Golang.
• Experience in designing and developing REST based services / Microservice development.
• Ability to design scalable, robust, and error-tolerant systems.
• Understanding of software architecture and distributed systems.
• Proficient in writing efficient and optimized algorithms under time constraints.
• Skilled in developing solutions that balance performance, readability, and maintainability.
• Ability to effectively communicate coding decisions and rationale during problem-solving discussions.
• Hands-on experience with queuing mechanisms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Candidates should be adaptable and eager to quickly learn and integrate into the existing tech stack if they lack direct experience.
• Candidate should have good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience with delivering projects in an agile environment using SCRUM methodologies.

Good to have:

• Experience to AWS, CI/CD, DevOps.
• Experience using container management tools such as Kubernetes, Docker and Rancher.
• Any one of these data store Cassandra, Postgres, Couchbase, or other NoSQL servers.

• Challenge technical decisions and web service designs and provide inputs for improvement
• Provide qualified code (tested and documented)
• Fix issues that arise from testing/customers
• Create or update all the relevant and required technical documents (design, architecture, )
• Follow quality development rules and recommendations (unitary test, change management, build management, Software factory…)
• Perform code reviews and suggest improvements
• Work in Agile mode and Test Driven development process
• Collaborate and work closely with all stakeholders

• Hardcore developers who can write performance-based quality code and drive code
• Preferred: Java1.8, Junit, Springboot, Dropwizard, RabbitMQ, Jenkins jobs, NoSQL DB (MongoDB, Neo4j), Docker, and DevOps (Optional: Python, AWS)
• Knowledge about Secure coding guidelines, Sonarqube, Configuration Management (Perforce), Jira
• MUST have experience in Scrum/Agile SDLC
• Value Add – experience on the server side in IPTV/OTT/STB

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with CXO’s, product managers, devops, and frontend engineers to collaboratively own the backend-end layer for Vauld’s application.
• Architect and build highly scalable, secure features keeping the long term vision of the product.

Requirements:

• You have 7 years or more of backend development experience with expertise in designing and implementing high-performance applications.
• Worked with and built high performance products using Node Js/GoLang/ Python and have seen the product evolution cycle from PoC to Production 
• You have a deep understanding of design principles and can rightly judge/implement solutions to complex problems
• You are capable of writing high-quality code that conforms to the standards and best practices in a particular language/framework.
• You have experience building a product using a mainstream library or framework.
• You love to own end to end responsibility, starting from defining the problem statement (either yourself or alongside your peers), development (PoC if needed), testing, releasing in staging & then production environment, and finally monitoring.

Preferred:

• Previous work experience in product-based startups
• Experience building for products that have scaled and have seen the product evolution
• Understands the cryptocurrency landscape

Exceleron Software provides an integrated energy utility customer engagement suite consisting of Online and Cash Payments, Customer Alerts, Prepay Billing, Online Bill Presentment, Usage Monitoring, and a Mobile App (for both iOS and Android) in both the United States and India.

Desired Candidate Profile

1) 3-8 years experience in Perl Development with a working knowledge of the following web

2) development stack: HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Apache/Nginx Extensive experience with OO Perl

3) Proficient with building/managing relational databases

4) Any perl based web frameworks (Mojolicious, Catalyst, Dancer, CGI Application, or anything else)
