Devops Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend, and mobile applications.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS).
• Configure and maintain Docker containers and/or Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation.
• Automate build, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Manage code repositories using Git/GitHub/GitLab, enforce branching strategies.
• Implement monitoring and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, Splunk.
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment and development workflows.
• Optimize infrastructure costs and improve performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Docker, containers, and orchestrators (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Strong understanding of Networking, VPC, DNS, Load Balancers, Security Groups.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools: CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation (IaC).
• Good understanding of Node.js or similar application deployments.
• Knowledge of NGINX/Apache and load balancing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred/Good to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS).
• Experience with Serverless architectures (Lambda).
• Experience with Redis, MongoDB, RDS.
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with security best practices, IAM policies, and DevSecOps.
• Understanding of cost optimization and cloud cost management.

1. Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS, Azure and GCP
2. Work collaboratively with software engineering to define infrastructure and deployment requirements

• Support and troubleshoot scalability, high availability, performance, monitoring, backup, and restores of different environments
• Work independently across multiple platforms and applications to understand dependencies

• Design and architect solutions for existing client-facing applications as they are moved into cloud environments such as AWS

Responsibilities:

• Engineer solutions using AWS services (Cloud Formation, EC2, Lambda, Route 53, ECS, EFS )
• Balance hardware, network, and software layers to arrive at a scalable and maintainable solution that meets requirements for uptime, performance, and functionality
• Monitor server applications and use tools and log files to troubleshoot and resolve problems
• Maintain 99.99% availability of the web and integration services
• Anticipate, identify, mitigate, and resolve issues relating to client facing infrastructure
• Monitor, analyse, and predict trends for system performance, capacity, efficiency, and reliability and recommend enhancements in order to better meet client SLAs and standards

Qualifications :

You will be responsible for:

• Managing all DevOps and infrastructure for Sizzle
• We have both cloud and on-premise servers
• Work closely with all AI and backend engineers on processing requirements and managing both development and production requirements
• Optimize the pipeline to ensure ultra fast processing
• Work closely with management team on infrastructure upgrades

You should have the following qualities:

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, and CI/CD
• Deep experience in: Gitlab, Gitops, Ansible, Docker, Grafana, Prometheus
• Strong background in Linux system administration
• Deep expertise with AI/ML pipeline processing, especially with GPU processing. This doesn’t need to include model training, data gathering, etc. We’re looking more for experience on model deployment, and inferencing tasks at scale
• Deep expertise in Python including multiprocessing / multithreaded applications
• Performance profiling including memory, CPU, GPU profiling
• Error handling and building robust scripts that will be expected to run for weeks to months at a time
• Deploying to production servers and monitoring and maintaining the scripts
• DB integration including pymongo and sqlalchemy (we have MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases on our backend)
• Expertise in Docker-based virtualization including - creating & maintaining custom Docker images, deployment of Docker images on cloud and on-premise services, monitoring of production Docker images with robust error handling
• Expertise in AWS infrastructure, networking, availability

Optional but beneficial to have:

• Experience with running Nvidia GPU / CUDA-based tasks
• Experience with image processing in python (e.g. openCV, Pillow, etc)
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB (Or SQL familiarity)
• Excited about working in a fast-changing startup environment
• Willingness to learn rapidly on the job, try different things, and deliver results
• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or related field
• Ideally a gamer or someone interested in watching gaming content online
