Devops Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend, and mobile applications.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS).
• Configure and maintain Docker containers and/or Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation.
• Automate build, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Manage code repositories using Git/GitHub/GitLab, enforce branching strategies.
• Implement monitoring and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, Splunk.
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment and development workflows.
• Optimize infrastructure costs and improve performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Docker, containers, and orchestrators (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Strong understanding of Networking, VPC, DNS, Load Balancers, Security Groups.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools: CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation (IaC).
• Good understanding of Node.js or similar application deployments.
• Knowledge of NGINX/Apache and load balancing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred/Good to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS).
• Experience with Serverless architectures (Lambda).
• Experience with Redis, MongoDB, RDS.
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer.

Position Overview:

We are searching for a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pune, India. As a DevOps Engineer at Kiru, you will play a critical role in ensuring our payment infrastructure's reliability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize your expertise in technology infrastructure configuration to manage and automate infrastructure effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Software Developers and technology management, to design and implement robust and efficient DevOps solutions.
• Configure and maintain a secure backend environment focusing on network isolation and VPN access.
• Implement and manage monitoring solutions like ZipKin, Jaeger, New Relic, or DataDog and visualisation and alerting solutions like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Work closely with developers to instrument code for visualisation and alerts, ensuring system performance and stability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate on the selection and implementation of appropriate DevOps tools and technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging DevOps trends and best practices.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to DevOps processes and configurations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience configuring infrastructure on Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Kubernetes as a container orchestration technology
• Experience with Terraform and Azure ARM or Bicep templates for infrastructure provisioning and management.
• Experience configuring and maintaining secure backend environments, including network isolation and VPN access.
• Proficiency in setting up and managing monitoring and visualization tools such as ZipKin, Jaeger, New Relic, DataDog, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers to instrument code for visualization and alerts.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Azure Kubernetes Services and managing identities across Azure services.
• Previous experience in a financial or payment systems environment.

Requirements

• Candidates working for this position should possess at least 5 years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer.

• Solid experience in the AWS environment.

• Should have experience in monitoring tools like DataDog or Newrelic.

• Minimum of 5 years experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Sonar, and Selenium.

• Candidates must possess ample knowledge and experience in system automation, deployment, and implementation.

• Candidates must possess experience in using Linux, Jenkins, and ample experience in configuring and automating the monitoring tools.

• The candidates should also possess experience in the software development process and tools and languages like SaaS, Python, Java, MongoDB, Shell scripting, Python, PostgreSQL, and Git.

As DevOps Engineer, you are responsible to setup and maintain GIT repository, DevOps tools like Jenkins, UCD, Docker, Kubernetes, Jfrog Artifactory, Cloud monitoring tools, Cloud security.

• Setup, configure, and maintain GIT repos, Jenkins, UCD, etc. for multi hosting cloud environments.
• Architect and maintain the server infrastructure in AWS. Build highly resilient infrastructure following industry best practices.
