Job Description:

The incumbent would be responsible for:

• Deployment of various infrastructures on Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, OVH etc.
• Server monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting.
• Deploying multi-tier architectures using microservices.
• Integration of Container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc as per application requirement.
• Automating workflow with python or shell scripting.
• CI and CD integration for application lifecycle management.
• Hosting and managing websites on Linux machines.
• Frontend, backend and database optimization.
• Protecting operations by keeping information confidential.
• Providing information by collecting, analyzing, summarizing development & service issues.
• Prepares & installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards & programming.

Job Summary

The Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing and leading projects related to Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Python. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing data solutions while ensuring they meet the business requirements and align with best practices. (1.) Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage end-to-end data engineering projects using azure data factory, azure databricks, sql, oracle pl/sql, and python.

2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements for data pipelines and analytics solutions.

3. Design and develop etl processes, data models, and data integration solutions.

4. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team members.

5. Ensure data quality, data governance, and data security standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

6. Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines and processes for performance and efficiency.

7. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficiency in azure data factory (adf) and azure databricks for building and managing data pipelines.

2. Strong experience with sql and oracle pl/sql for data querying and manipulation.

3. Advanced programming skills in python for scripting and data processing tasks.

4. Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and database design principles.

5. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

7. Experience in data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.

Certifications: Relevant certifications in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, or Python are advantageous.

• 3+ years experience leading a team of DevOps engineers
• 8+ years experience managing DevOps for large engineering teams developing cloud-native software
• Strong in networking concepts
• In-depth knowledge of AWS and cloud architectures/services.
• Experience within the container and container orchestration space (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Passion for CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins etc.
• Familiarity with config management tools like Ansible Terraform etc
• Proven record of measuring and improving DevOps metrics
• Familiarity with observability tools and experience setting them up
• Passion for building tools and productizing services that empower development teams.
• Excellent knowledge of Linux command-line tools and ability to write bash scripts.

• Create the entire CI/CD pipeline to build and release
• Explore new technologies and tools and recommend those that best fit the team and organization

• Defining and documenting best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
• Providing guidance, thought leadership and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies
• Ensuring application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
• Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
• Developing and implementing technical efforts to design, build and deploy AWS applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling and advanced analytics
• Participating in all aspects of the software development life cycle for AWS solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
• Troubleshooting incidents, identifying root cause, fixing and documenting problems and implementing preventive measures
• Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology
• 2+ years of experience as architect, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS platforms
• Experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, ETL, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytic
• Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, developers, data scientists and subject matter experts
• Self-motivation with the ability to drive features to delivery
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good logical sense, strong technical skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
• AWS certifications are a plus
