DevOps Engineer

• Solid understanding of IP network and TCP/IP
• Minimum of 7+ years’ work experience in IT
• Minimum of 4+ years experience as DevOps Enginneer
• Good interpersonal skills and communication written and oral.

• 3 - 6 years of software development, and operations experience deploying and maintaining multi-tiered infrastructure and applications at scale.
• Design cloud infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
• Experience managing any distributed NoSQL system (Kafka/Cassandra/etc.)
• Experience with Containers, Microservices, deployment and service orchestration using Kubernetes, EKS (preferred), AKS or GKE.
• Strong scripting language knowledge, such as Python, Shell
• Experience and a deep understanding of Kubernetes.
• Experience in Continuous Integration and Delivery.
• Work collaboratively with software engineers to define infrastructure and deployment requirements
• Provision, configure and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure
• Ensure configuration and compliance with configuration management tools
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems
• Troubleshoot problems across a wide array of services and functional areas
• Build and maintain operational tools for deployment, monitoring, and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
• Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for design, implementation, and continuous improvement on automated CI/CD infrastructure
• Displays technical leadership and oversight of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, ongoing data validation processes, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions
• Responsible for designing topology to meet requirements for uptime, availability, scalability, robustness, fault tolerance & security
• Implement proactive measures for automated detection and resolution of recurring operational issues
• Lead operational support team manage incidents, document root cause and tracking preventive measures
• Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously validating/fixing vulnerability assessment reports and risk management
• Responsible for the design and development of tools, installation procedures
• Develops and maintains accurate estimates, timelines, project plans, and status reports
• Organize and maintain packaging and deployment of various internal modules and third-party vendor libraries
• Responsible for the employment, timely performance evaluation, counselling, employee development, and discipline of assigned employees.
• Participates in calls and meetings with customers, vendors, and internal teams on regular basis.
• Perform infrastructure cost analysis and optimization

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with good technical knowledge regarding build, release, and systems engineering

Technical Skills:

• Experience with DevOps toolchains such as Docker, Rancher, Kubernetes, Bitbucket
• Experience with Apache, Nginx, Tomcat, Prometheus ,Grafana
• Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools
• Sound understanding of cloud technologies preferably AWS technologies
• Linux, Windows, Scripting, Configuration Management, Build and Release Engineering
• 6 years of experience in DevOps practices, with a good understanding of DevOps and Agile principles
• Good scripting skills (Python/Perl/Ruby/Bash)
• Experience with standard continuous integration tools Jenkins/Bitbucket Pipelines
• Work on software configuration management systems (Puppet/Chef/Salt/Ansible)
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook) and other business productivity tools
• Working knowledge on HSM and PKI (Good to have)

Must Have Skills

• AWS Solutions Architect and/or DevOps certification, Professional preferred
• BS level technical degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Engineering background preferred
• Hands-on technical expertise on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to include but not limited to EC2, VPC, IAM, Security groups, ELB/NLB/ALB, Internet gateway, S3, EBS and EFS.
• Experience in migration-deployment of applications to Cloud, re-engineering of application for cloud, setting up OS and app environments in virtualized cloud
• DevOps automation, CI/CD, infrastructure/services provisioning, application deployment and configuration
• DevOps toolsets to include Ansible, Jenkins and XLdeploy, XLrelease
• Deploy and configuration of Java/Wildfly, Springboot, JavaScript/Node.js and Ruby applications and middleware
• Scripting in Shell (bash) and Extensive Python
• Agile software development
• Excellent written, verbal communication skills, presentation, and collaboration skills - Team leadership skills
• Linux (RHEL) administration/engineering

Experience:

• Deploying, configuring, and supporting large scale monolithic and microservices based SaaS applications
• Working as both an infrastructure and application migration specialist
• Identifying and documenting application requirements for network, F5, IAM, and security groups
• Implementing DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and automated deployment 
• Work with Technology leadership to understand business goals and requirements
• Experience with continuous integration tools
• Experience with configuration management platforms
• Writing and diagnosing issues with complex shell scripts
• Strong practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems

• Azure Devops - Working experience in Azure yaml pipelines. (Note – Some say they worked in yaml but it’s for Jenkins and not Azure devops)
• Azure – Infrastructure automation using Terraform/ARM templates. (Note – Some say that they worked in terraform but it’s for AWS and not Azure). Please confirm Terraform for Azure infrastructure automation.
• Powershell scripting to automate and deploy .Net applications.
