• AWS Infrastructure: Architect, deploy, and manage AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SageMaker, API Gateway, and VPC.
• Networking: Proficient in subnetting, endpoints, NACL, security groups, VPC flow logs, and routing.
• API Management: Design and manage secure, scalable APIs using AWS API Gateway.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Automation & IaC: Use Terraform and CloudFormation for automating infrastructure management.
• Containerization & Kubernetes: Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and managing containerized deployments.
• Monitoring & Logging: Implement monitoring with AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other tools.
• Security: Apply AWS security best practices using IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and GuardDuty.
• Cost Management: Monitor and optimize AWS usage and costs.
• Collaboration: Partner with development, QA, and operations teams to enhance productivity and system reliability.

Job Summary:

The Lead IaC Engineer will design, implement, automate, and maintain infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role should have strong hands-on expertise in Chef, Python, Terraform, and some AWS & Windows administration knowledge.

8-12 years of experience

Primary Skills – Chef, Python, and Terraform

Secondary – AWS & Windows admin (Cloud is not mandatory)

Position Summary-

This role will support the customer implementation of a data quality and reliability product. The candidate is expected to install the product in the client environment, manage proof of concepts with prospects, and become a product expert and troubleshoot post installation, production issues. The role will have significant interaction with the client data engineering team and the candidate is expected to have good communication skills.

Required experience

1. 6-7 years experience providing engineering support to data domain/pipelines/data engineers.
2. Experience in troubleshooting data issues, analyzing end to end data pipelines and in working with users in resolving issues
3. Experience setting up enterprise security solutions including setting up active directories, firewalls, SSL certificates, Kerberos KDC servers, etc.
4. Basic understanding of SQL
5. Experience working with technologies like S3, Kubernetes experience preferred.
6. Databricks/Hadoop/Kafka experience preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities and Must-have skills:

• Lead the pre-sales (25%) to post-sales (75%) efforts building Public/Hybrid Cloud solutions working collaboratively with Intuitive and client technical and business stakeholders
• Be a customer advocate with obsession for excellence delivering measurable success for Intuitive’s customers with secure, scalable, highly available cloud architecture that leverage AWS Cloud services
• Experience in analyzing customer's business and technical requirements, assessing existing environment for Cloud enablement, advising on Cloud models, technologies and risk management strategies
• Apply creative thinking/approach to determine technical solutions that further business goals and align with corporate technology strategies
• Extensive experience building Well Architected solutions in-line with AWS cloud adoption framework (DevOps/DevSecOps, Database/Data Warehouse/Data Lake, App Modernization/Containers, Security, Governance, Risk, Compliance, Cost Management and Operational Excellence)
• Experience with application discovery preferably with tools like Cloudscape, to discover application configurations , databases, filesystems, and application dependencies
• Experience with Well Architected Review, Cloud Readiness Assessments and defining migration patterns (MRA/MRP) for application migration e.g. Re-host, Re-platform, Re-architect etc
• Experience in architecting and deploying AWS Landing Zone architecture with CI/CD pipeline
• Experience on architecture, design of AWS cloud services to address scalability, performance, HA, security, availability, compliance, backup and DR, automation, alerting and monitoring and cost
• Hands-on experience in migrating applications to AWS leveraging proven tools and processes including migration, implementation, cutover and rollback plans and execution
• Hands-on experience in deploying various AWS services e.g. EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Security Groups etc. using either manual or IaC, IaC is preferred
• Hands-on Experience in writing cloud automation scripts/code such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation Template (AWS CFT) etc.
• Hands-on Experience with application build/release processes CI/CD pipelines
• Deep understanding of Agile processes (planning/stand-ups/retros etc), and interact with cross-functional teams i.e. Development, Infrastructure, Security, Performance Engineering, and QA

• Conduct sales enablement sessions to coach sales team on new offerings

What you need to have:

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Primary stakeholder collaborating with Dir Engineering on software/infrastructure architecture, monitoring/alerting framework and all other architectural level technical issues
• Design and manage implementation of Silvermine’s high performance, scalable, extensible and resilient microservices application stack based of existing, partially migrated monolithic application and for new product development.  Includes:
  • Utilizing either ECS Fargate (no EC2 clusters) or EKS as the orchestration framework – to be tested up to a minimum of 100k concurrent users
  • Exploring, designing and implementing use of on demand compute (Lambda) where appropriate
  • Scalable and redundant data architecture supporting microservices design principles
  • A scalable reverse proxy layer to isolate microservices from managing network connections
  • Utilizing CDN capabilities to offload origin load via an intelligent caching strategy
  • Leveraging best in breed AWS service offerings to enable team to focus on application stack instead of application scaffolding while minimizing operational complexity and cost

  • Leverage AWS and 3rd party services to monitor the application stack and data; secure them from DDOS attacks and security breaches; and alert the team in the vent of an incident
  • Using APM and logging tools:
    • Monitor application stack and infrastructure component performance
    • Proactively detect, triage and mitigate stack performance issues
    • Alert upon exception events
    • Provide triaging tools for debugging and Root Cause Analysis.
• Enhance the CI/CD pipeline to support automated testing, a resilient deployment model (e.g., blue-green, canary) and 100% rollback support (including the data layer)
• Development a comprehensive, supportable, repeatable IAC implementation using CloudFormation or Terraform
• Take a leadership role and exhibit expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, best practices and optimization of existing architecture.
• Partner with teams and leaders to provide strategic consultation for business process design/optimization, creating strategic technology road maps, performing rapid prototyping and implementing technical solutions to accelerate the fulfillment of the business strategic vision.
• Staying up to date on emerging technologies (AI, Automation, Cloud etc.) and trends with a clear focus on productivity, ease of use and fit-for-purpose, by researching, testing, and evaluating.
• Providing POCs and product implementation guidelines.
• Applying imagination and innovation by creating, inventing, and implementing new or better approaches, alternatives and breakthrough ideas that are valued by customers within the function.
• Assessing current state of solutions, defining future state needs, identifying gaps and recommending new technology solutions and strategic business execution improvements.
• Overseeing and facilitating the evaluation and selection technology, product standards and the design of standard configurations/implementation patterns.

Skills Required:

• Good mentorship skills to coach and guide the team on AWS DevOps.
• Jenkins, Python, Pipeline as Code, Cloud Formation Templates and Terraform.
• Experience with Dockers, Containers, Lambda and Fargate is a must
• Experience with CI/CD and Release management
• Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting
• Demonstrable expertise in Java
• Familiarity with REST APIs

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Devops.
• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• AWS Certifications is added advantage
