What you’ll do:

• Work alongside Software Engineers to develop cool new features and enhancements in our platform services space that will delight our customers • Participate in elaboration and design sessions to understand and refine requirements to be implemented • Build unit tests and automation test suites to ensure our products deliver the highest quality • Collaborate with scrum team members during sprint planning and daily standups and share your accomplishments during sprint reviews • Provide constructive and honest feedback during code reviews and sprint retrospectives • Work with Enterprise Architects to design our services

What you’ll need:

• 8+ years full-stack software development experience, ideally in a SaaS or micro service-based system • Experience with our technology stack: .NET, C#, SQL, React, Web APIs and entity framework; AWS preferred • Exposure to design principles such as: SOLID/DRY design, Objectoriented design patterns, N-Tier software architecture, threading and synchronization, relational database design, etc. • A passion for problem solving and innovation with the desire to learn and grow • Ability to work well in a remote team environment and attitude to focus on team specific goals and objectives • Ability to drive results through your job competencies of collaboration, software programming and development, and technical problem solving • Ability to drive results through NAVEX core competencies of accountability, customer focus, drives results and instills trust

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines that handle Real-world data at Compile. You will be handling both inbound and outbound data deliveries at Compile for datasets including Claims, Remittances, EHR, SDOH, etc.

You will

• Work on building and maintaining data pipelines (specifically RWD).
• Build, enhance and maintain existing pipelines in pyspark, python and help build analytical insights and datasets.
• Scheduling and maintaining pipeline jobs for RWD.
• Develop, test, and implement data solutions based on the design.
• Design and implement quality checks on existing and new data pipelines.
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance that is required for the products.
• Maintain relationships with various data vendors and track changes and issues across vendors and deliveries.

You have

• Hands-on experience with ETL process (min of 5 years).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple vendors.
• High proficiency with Spark, SQL.
• Proficiency in Data modeling, validation, quality check, and data engineering concepts.
• Experience in working with big-data processing technologies using - databricks, dbt, S3, Delta lake, Deequ, Griffin, Snowflake, BigQuery.
• Familiarity with version control technologies, and CI/CD systems.
• Understanding of scheduling tools like Airflow/Prefect.
• Min of 3 years of experience managing data warehouses.
• Familiarity with healthcare datasets is a plus.

• Experience in Shell scripting or familiarity with CLI is a plus

• Work with the architect in identifying modules, interfaces, functionality to be developed
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean code to develop functional web application, addressing technical and design requirements
• Understand and implement heuristic algorithms as necessary
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Create and maintain upto date documentation 
• Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic
• Provide training and support to internal teams
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, architects,  designers and system administrators to identify and incorporate new features

• Proven work experience in Java as a Back-end developer
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)

What you need to have:

Level 3 Contractor-to-Fulltime-Programmer Role:

Must have 1-2 years (ideally 12 to 30 months) of post-collegiate professional programming experience at a top SaaS company in React, Typescript, Javascript working within Visual Studio Code and Yarn, leveraging superior techniques with Routing, Components, State, and Props to deliver elegant consumer applications based on dynamic data.

Ability to translate user story completely into exceptional functionality that consistently meets acceptance criteria and delights users.  Ability to convert complex workflows into elegant experiences highly prized.

Experience with Firebase, Firestore, MongoDB, Heroku and other Cloud-based technologies to deliver scalable, performant data-driven applications, with deployments on Kubernetes.  Ideally experienced working with colleagues over Discord.

Ability to exhibit judgment to independently author test suite and testing scripts to evaluate code additions, ensuring no regressions in functionality or user experience.

Proficiency in translating complex mathematical concepts into effective data structures and programming practices.  Personal pleasure in solving mathematical puzzles elegantly is a huge plus.

Bonus for those possessing keen interest in better investing, wealth creation, and FinTech/WealthTech experience.

Anticipated first year will be entirely working from home given COVID as Level 3 Contractor, and upon completion of first anniversary will be eligible for sign-on bonus as full time employee. Required to have own effective laptop/development set up and sufficient bandwidth to be exceedingly productive.

We are excited to consider applicants from outside top IITs and top technical cities, so you don’t have to be a graduate of IIT Madras or IIT Bombay, nor living in Bangalore, Pune, or Hyderabad – we are more interested in exceptional and fluent programming talent and passion than just these degrees.  And all that being said, we confess we do have a founding team with degrees and DNA from Stanford, Harvard, and INSEAD.

There will be a technical task/test, a fit/communication interview, and a technical interview.
