Position Title: Payroll Executive

Location: Avilion Farms

Reports To: HR Manager

Role Overview

The Payroll Executive will manage end-to-end payroll processing, statutory compliance, and employee support related to compensation and attendance. This role ensures accurate salary disbursement, maintains payroll records, and supports HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Payroll processing: Handle monthly salary disbursement and ensure accuracy of payroll inputs (attendance, leave, deductions, reimbursements).
• Statutory compliance: Ensure adherence to PF, ESI, PT, TDS, and other labor laws.
• Record management: Maintain payroll records, employee data, and payroll software.
• Tax coordination: Validate investment declarations, prepare Form 16, and support employee tax returns.
• Employee support: Address queries related to salary, tax, and attendance.
• Audit reporting: Prepare payroll reports for audits and management review.
• Attendance monitoring: Track timesheets, leave requests, and attendance records.
• Confidentiality: Ensure data security of payroll records.
• Team supervision: Guide payroll support staff when required.
• HR support: Assist with basic recruitment and onboarding activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Commerce, or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in payroll processing & compliance.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems, Excel, and statutory compliance.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the construction or infrastructure industry is an added advantage.

7th Unit is building a wheeled upper-body humanoid robot for industrial deployment in Central Asia and Eastern Europe. This is a founding role, you own the perception architecture from day one.

What you'll do

• Build and own the full perception stack for v1 — object detection, depth estimation, workspace understanding
• Integrate perception with manipulation and motion planning systems
• Deploy and optimize perception pipelines on edge hardware (Jetson Orin or equivalent)
• Work directly on the physical robot — debugging real hardware, not simulations
• Develop the data pipeline for continuous improvement of perception performance

What we need

• 3+ years building perception systems for real robotic platforms — not research only
• Strong foundation in computer vision, 3D data processing, and sensor fusion
• Proficiency in Python and C++, hands-on experience with ROS2
• Experience deploying perception on edge compute hardware
• You have debugged a perception system on a physical robot under real operating conditions

Structure

• Position starts Q3 2026
• Equity negotiated directly, founding engineer package
• Remote during pre-build phase. In-person required from prototype assembly onward

Requirements / Experience:

• 4-8+ years of PHP application development experience
• Strong Experience using Laravel/CodeIgniter/ Symfonyframeworks
• Strong experience and theoretical knowledge of PHP
• Front end and back end development expertise
• JavaScript (Vue.js, React, node, Typescript, RequireJS)
• Front end frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.)
• Good background with SQL Databases (writing queries, optimization, query builders usage, ORMs)
• API development and documentation (OpenAPI)
• Troubleshooting (ability to react in the most effective manner to eliminate technical issues)
• Solution-Making (ability to propose the most effective technical solutions)
• NoSQL experience is nice to have
• Ability to work on existing live projects and do the modifications as required. 
• Ability to work independently and in a team as well

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have Skills: Cloud development (Capable), Microservices architecture (MSA) (Strong), Site reliability Engineering
• Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline
• 10+yrs experience and a strong background in areas like cloud operations and site reliability engineering
• Hands-on knowledge and experience with any of the major public cloud providers (preferably AWS)
• Good understanding of micro-service architectures and development frameworks; knowledge across tiers in a multi-tier cloud environment including multi-region, multi-zone configurations, load balancers, web servers, application containers, data stores, distributed cache, and content delivery networks
• Hands-on knowledge and experience with observability and monitoring tools like New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus and Grafana
• Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Go lang, Shell scripting, C/C++ or Java
• Ability to work with query languages to analyze monitoring data and other app-specific transactions
• A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
• An Agile mindset and strong communication skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in functional discussions, system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning to develop an overall understanding of the product and teams current priorities
• Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing, release procedures, automation of runbooks, and DR planning
• Build automation scripts for auto-recover behavior, determining benchmark of critical services, preparing custom dashboards to report performance in production
• Understand product functionality to design and build thoughtful experiments to simulate chaos and proactively find faults in the systems
• Work with architects to define service level indicators and create a service catalog
• Gather and analyze SLIs, SLOs from applications, services, and OS to assist in performance tuning, improving availability and reliability
• Improve monitoring and observability to increase visibility into key metrics like MTTI, MTTR, and MTTD
• Work with the team to understand the root cause of production incidents
• Train and groom engineers to internalize SRE best practices

• Min 5 years of software development experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficiency in a Go programming language
• Strong software development fundamentals (Data structures,  Algorithms, problem-solving,  OO  design,  systems architecture,  and development methods).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask, learn and thrive in a timeline-driven environment
• Good understanding of memory/SQL/NoSQL database concepts (key-value, schemas, indexing, etc)
• Writing scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code

Skills
