Backend Developer

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong experience in building, scaling, and optimizing server-side systems. The ideal candidate is proficient in Node.js, FastAPI (Python), and database design, with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js and FastAPI

Build robust data models and optimize performance for SQL and NoSQL databases

Architect and deploy backend services on GCP/AWS, leveraging managed cloud services. 

Implement clean, modular, and testable code with proper CI/CD and observability (logs, metrics, alerts)

Ensure system reliability, security, and high availability for production environments

Requirements:

2–5 years of backend development experience

Strong proficiency in Node.js, FastAPI, REST APIs, and microservice architecture

Solid understanding of PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB/Redis or similar NoSQL systems

Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, and modern DevOps workflows

Experience with caching, queueing, authentication, and API performance optimization

Good to Have:

Experience with event-driven architecture, WebSockets, or serverless functions

Familiarity with Kubernetes or Terraform

• 5 years experience with the Django framework
• Experience with building APIs (REST or GraphQL)

• React.js knowledge would be an added bonus 
• Understanding on how to use a database like Postgres (prefered choice), SQLite, MongoDB, MySQL.
• Sound knowledge of object-oriented design and analysis.
• A strong passion for writing simple, clean and efficient code.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools Git.

Timings:

• 40 hours a week but with 4 hours a day overlapping with client timezone.  Typically clients are in California PST Timezone.

• Minimum 6+ years of experience designing and building full stack applications using UI frameworks like Angular, React or Vue.JS and backend frameworks like Node.JS/ExpressJS or Python/Django/Flask or Laravel/Yii2/Symphony
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Technical Lead mentoring team of 3 to 5 developers
• Strong knowlegde of cloud and distributed systems (AWS, GCP, Azure). Cloud certifications would be an added advantage.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases, SQL and NoSQL databases. Experience with Graph databases like Neo4j is desirable.
• Proficient in Git and CI-CD frameworks
• Strong communicator with visual, verbal, and writing skills to clearly articulate complex design problems and solutions
• Ability to work in an agile environment

Minimum 3+ Years of hands-on experience in developing Python Applications. 
Excellent knowledge of Python and experience in or in-depth understanding of core Python 
Knowledge in Lists, Tuples, and Dictionaries
Excellent knowledge of Python Constructor- Parameterized and Non-Parameterized
Must have experience in core python concepts about data structure, OOPS concepts, XML parsing, XML to JSON, optimizations

Developers should have developed Web Based applications., back end, SQL
Agile and scrum methodology

Should not be test automation, Application development frame work

Excellent Communication Skill

Good to Have
