Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Django Developer to join our dynamic team in Gurgaon.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, Django frameworks, and RESTful API integration.

You will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable web applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, high-performance web applications using Django and Python.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Work with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure application performance and security.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality products.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• 6+ Years of hands-on experience with Python and Django framework.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs, Django ORM, and PostgreSQL/MySQL.
• Proficiency in version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Experience with Docker, Celery, Redis, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of software development principles and design patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Good to Have :

• Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF).
• Knowledge of unit testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with containerization and deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Mandate Skills:

• 3 - 7 years of experience in cloud-native applications (Azure strongly preferred) using Python.
• Thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) design and practices.
• Strong RDBMS experience (PostgreSQL, MS SQL etc.) designing tables & writing queries.
• Great command of design patterns (especially integration design patterns)

Requirements:

• Should be a go-getter, ready to shoulder more responsibilities, and shows enthusiasm and interest in work.

• Excellent core Python skills including threading, dictionary, OOPS Concept, Data structure, and Web service.

• Should have work experience on the following stacks/libraries: Flask

• Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries

• Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system

• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as Angular, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3

• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code

• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications

• Understanding of accessibility and security compliance

• Experience in both RDBMS(MySQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, HDFS, HIVE etc) or in-memory caching technologies such as ehcache etc is preferable.

Position: Backend Developer

Organization: A Funded global healthcare platform connecting doctors, thereby enabling exchange of information on a quick and real time basis, founded in the year 2013.Currently there are 3 lakh doctors using this platform and everyday there are 400 new doctors joining it.

The platform promotes exchange of viewpoints, ideas, and information on various medical practices amongst healthcare professionals. This saves both time and money as solutions to several health issues can be accessed on a real time basis. There are 1.3 million registered doctors and 400+ daily publications on its platform and they operate across 16+countries.

Roles & Responsibilities

You’re Awesome At -

• Have strong experience in Python (FLASK framework).
• Have a Deep understanding of how RESTful APIs work.
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns that can work at scale.
• Sound knowledge of NoSQL/SQL Databases (Mongo DB preferred).
• Strong experience with at-Cloud technology, preferably AWS or GCP, or Azure.
• Core experience in developing complex backend systems.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Passionate about application scalability, availability, reliability, and security.

Your Academic Qualifications -

BE/BTech in Computer Science preferred.

What You'll Do


You will be part of our data platform & data engineering team. As part of this agile team, you will work in our cloud native environment and perform following activities to support core product development and client specific projects:

• You will develop the core engineering frameworks for an advanced self-service data analytics product.
• You will work with multiple types of data storage technologies such as relational, blobs, key-value stores, document databases and streaming data sources.
• You will work with latest technologies for data federation with MPP (Massive Parallel Processing) capabilities
• Your work will entail backend architecture to enable data modeling, data queries and API development for both back-end and front-end data interfaces.
• You will support client specific data processing needs using SQL and Python/Pyspark
• You will integrate our product with other data products through Django APIs
• You will partner with other team members in understanding the functional / non-functional business requirements, and translate them into software development tasks
• You will follow the software development best practices in ensuring that the code architecture and quality of code written by you is of high standard, as expected from an enterprise software
• You will be a proactive contributor to team and project discussions

Who you are


• Strong education track record - Bachelors or an advanced degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline from Indian Institute of Technology or equivalent premium institute.
• 2-3 years of experience in data queries, data processing and data modeling
• Excellent ANSI SQL skills to handle complex queries
• Excellent Python and Django programming skills.
• Strong knowledge and experience in modern and distributed data stack components such as the Spark, Hive, Airflow, Kubernetes, Docker etc.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and native cloud technologies for data storage and data processing
• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, Blobs, MongoDB etc.
• Familiarity with ML models is highly preferred
• Experience with Big Data processing and performance optimization
• Should know how to write modular, optimized and documented code.
• Should have good knowledge around error handling.
• Experience in version control systems such as GIT
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Self-starter, continuous learner.

Good to have some exposure to

• Start-up experience is highly preferred
• Exposure to any Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Tableau, Dundas, Power BI etc.
