Backend Developer - Node JS

Position: Lead Backend Engineer

Location: Pune, India (Initially Remote Due to COVID 19)

As a software engineer on the Backend team, you will be building and owning backend services and infrastructure that power our core products. What we are looking for?

• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ year of experience in Python/Django or Go
• Familiarity with Node.JS is a plus
• You write high quality and well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
• Good intuition for REST API design
• Start-up experience is a plus
• BS/MS/PHD in Computer Science or a related field (ideal)
• Preferably a Pune based candidate who can join at the earliest / Within a month

Should Be a Computer Science Graduate from a Tier-1 Engineering college like IIT/ BHU / NIT / VIT / COEP / PICT / BITS

Looking for integration of Signavio tool with other systems like Teams, SNOW, EXTOLLO, Alice etc.,  Optimization and automation of the processes are needed  Enhance the integrations with other systems, look for optimization & automation  Candidate should have good knowledge on the above languages and frameworks  Hands on experience and good at handling the business connects is must  Should have good communication skills & Analytical Skills  Good to have: UI Frameworks like ReactJS and Angular  Should be able to understand the complete framework of application/tool  Understanding on the integrations & configurations with integrated DB and other technology classes layers is added advantage  Good team player and be ready to work individually and also team level Education: BE/B. Required Technical Skills:

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and code features in the back-end as per the specifications provided by the Product and Design teams.
• Ship features in fast moving agile sprints.
• Work closely with Product Design and Product Management teams to brainstorm and chalk out details of features.
• Ability to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completion.
• Strong skills in architecting database models.
• Ability to document your code as this will be an open-core project.
• Ability to write unit, integration, and end to end tests.
• Conduct peer code review.

Must have:

• Strong understanding of Javascript and NodeJS.
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming, callback, and closures.
• Experience developing applications that use queues like SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with AWS services like S3, EC2, etc.
• Experience with Docker.
• Should be strong in Postgres database.
• Test driven development and use of frameworks like Mocha, Cypress.
• Strong proficiency in English and writing skills.

Good to have

• Basic knowledge of CI, CD
• Intermediate knowledge in any cloud services (AWS, GCP)
• Have created GraphQL APIs or worked with the Apollo framework.
• Have built previous functionality for CRM, marketing, or customer support tools.
• Have worked in open source project previously.
