Responsibilities: 

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and performant software solutions using NodeJS and AWS services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to identify and solve complex business problems.
• Design and develop large-scale distributed systems that are reliable, resilient, and fault-tolerant.
• Write clean, well-designed, and maintainable code that is easy to understand and debug.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure that all code is of high quality and adheres to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues and work with the team to develop and implement solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in software engineering and cloud computing.
• Experience with Data Security or Cybersecurity Products is a big asset

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2-4 years of professional experience in building web applications using NodeJS and AWS services.
• Strong understanding of NodeJS, and experience with server-side frameworks such as Express and NestJS.
• Strong experience in designing and building large-scale distributed systems, with a solid understanding of distributed computing concepts.
• Hands-on Experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, and RDS.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including agile development, TDD, and continuous integration and deployment.
• Hands-on Experience with Cloud technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with no-sql technologies like MongoDB or Azure Cosmos
• Experience with a distributed publish-subscribe messaging system like Kafka or redis Pubsub
• Experience developing, configuring & deploying applications on Hapi.js/Express/Fastify.
• Comfortable writing tests in Jest
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex technical problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

What you need to have:

• Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript
• Knowledge of Node.js and loopback 4 frameworks
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as React
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

We are looking for a Backend Developer who has hands-on experience in coding, building technology blocks, help answer choice of certain platform/tech over others, help the team visualise the product with the available resources and assets. 

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and test functionality for the latest app design.
• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features.
• Take requirements and specs from design to development and be the first line of quality assurance.
• Understand user requirements—these apps have to meet real-world scenarios.
• Support the Supersub Mobile application in its entirety, including working on bug fixes and improving application performance, reliability and stability.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximise development efficiency.

What you bring:

• 3+ years of experience in building Java, Node JS applications. 
• Experience in Building Robust REST APIs Using MEAN or MERN Stack. 
• Good programming skills, with the ability to Perform UI testing, Debugging Taking the ownership of the complete lifecycle of a product. 
• Solid experience with Unit Testing. 
• In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment) 
• Experience with deploying the code in AWS or AZURE is a plus. 
• Ability to write clean code and document the same to develop functional APIs and Admin Panel. 

Proven work experience in building a product is a plus. And the candidate must have an Engineering CS background. 

• 1+ year of experience
• Full responsibility for designing and building core back-end modules and system architectures.
• Good understanding of database concepts.
• Experience with at least two programming languages (PHP & GoLang).
• Experience in creating at least one web application.
• Knowledge of MySQL in-depth and basic understanding of MongoDB along with basic understanding about different paradigms of programming.
• Ability to interact and coordinate with a team.
• Should have a basic understanding of APIs.
• Modify code in time to keep code dry and reusable.
• Should have worked in at least one framework in the backend.
• A background in Software Architecture would be preferred.

• Develop data-driven web solutions on PHP frameworks (ideally CakePHP), but be undeterred when the need arises to create an application from the ground up as required, maintain, contribute and adhere to our programming best practices and guidelines.
• Work with a team of UI designers, programmers, and server admins, to bring brand new concepts to the market.
• Help improve our code quality through writing unit tests, automation and performing code reviews.
