Position – Python Developer

Based out of IIT Bombay, HaystackAnalytics is a HealthTech company creating clinical genomics products, which enable diagnostic labs and hospitals to offer accurate and personalized diagnostics. Supported by India's most respected science agencies (DST, BIRAC, DBT), we created and launched a portfolio of products to offer genomics in infectious diseases. Our genomics-based diagnostic solution for Tuberculosis was recognized as one of the top innovations supported by BIRAC in the past 10 years, and was launched by the Prime Minister of India in the BIRAC Showcase event in Delhi, 2022.

Objectives of this Role:

• Design and implement efficient, scalable backend services using Python.
• Work closely with healthcare domain experts to create innovative and accurate diagnostics solutions.
• Build APIs, services, and scripts to support data processing pipelines and front-end applications.
• Automate recurring tasks and ensure robust integration with cloud services.
• Maintain high standards of software quality and performance using clean coding principles and testing practices.
• Collaborate within the team to upskill and unblock each other for faster and better outcomes.

Primary Skills – Python Development

• Proficient in Python 3 and its ecosystem
• Frameworks: Flask / Django / FastAPI
• RESTful API development
• Understanding of OOPs and SOLID design principles
• Asynchronous programming (asyncio, aiohttp)
• Experience with task queues (Celery, RQ)
• Rust programming experience for systems-level or performance-critical components

Testing & Automation

• Unit Testing: PyTest / unittest
• Automation tools: Ansible / Terraform (good to have)
• CI/CD pipelines

DevOps & Cloud

• Docker, Kubernetes (basic knowledge expected)
• Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP

As a senior engineer you will be working independently in designing and implementing new visuals and also helping improve code quality. A lot of emphasis is on usability; so any specific experience is ux is a big plus. Any experience with backend implementation is also a plus

You will work with a mix of front end technologies, primarily JavaScript, D3, HTML 5, SVG, CSS (and related tech like SaSS/LESS). You'd also work with Git, WebPack. You don't already need to know all of these technologies.The key requirement is a keen interest in UI/UX work, solid front-end programming skills (thorough understanding of JavaScript, CSS and browser rendering workflow) and critical thinking.

Android Developer:

Our Android stack includes Java and libGDX, the code base is designed using Clean Architecture.  It is a multi module application and supports both 'application' and 'library' project mode.

EXPECTATIONS:

● Writing efficient android code in Java and Kotlin following Clean Architecture guidelines

● Tracing, benchmarking and profiling android java code

● Familiarity with popular android libraries/methods like Dagger2, RxJava2, OkHTTP.

● Familiarity with latest android platform changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Work closely with our product and design teams to customize the Poker experience across our  vendor platforms.

● Prototype new and redesign features

● Strong coding abilities and experience with Kotlin, Java and Android SDK

● A focus on UI design principles, hardware acceleration and making games work intuitively

● Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing

mobile products.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

● Experience of building Android applications/Games in Java or Kotlin using Android SDK (Kotlin preferred)

● Good knowledge of Kotlin, Dagger2 and RxJava2 is a great plus

● Strong understanding of object-oriented software development

● Understanding of large and complex code bases, including API design techniques to help keep them clean and maintainable.

● Programming experience using any game engine (libGDX preferred)

● Knowledge of multithreading and memory management specific to mobile devices and caching mechanisms

More than 5+ years of relevant experience in Oracle Identity manager (OIM) development with Strong knowledge of Oracle Identity Governance 12c product Core and Advance Java, Linux, Weblogic 12c, SOA, Oracle Database.

Should have working knowledge on - Product Architecture, Security Architecture, Application Provisioning, Connectors development,  Request and Approval workflow development using SoD, Certification flow development, issue Troubleshooting , Audit and reporting development, Customization using Event Handler, Scheduler and Adapters, e

Essential Duties:

• Work directly with clients to provide rapid and accurate analysis of production issues (including solution tracking).
• Answer customer questions, file bugs, and reproduce, troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Own and drive customer issues from start to finish.
• Become an expert on a given product domain from both a business and technical standpoint.
• Handle urgent escalation issues, ensuring we accurately prioritize based on severity and customer impact.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related. We will also consider other significant technical experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of application support experience. 
• Strong Oracle SQL, PL/SQL skills required.
• Order-To-Cash (O2C) or Procure-To-Pay (P2P) cycle experience in Oracle EBS (Financials). Other ERPs can also be considered. 
• Excellent spoken and written English. All customer communications are in English.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to adjust to the technical level of the audience and explain complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Ability to work with a global teams and build strong cross-functional relationships.
