Role Overview :

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with 3+ years of experience in building and managing scalable cloud-native infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kubernetes and Helm, along with hands-on experience in deploying and maintaining production-grade systems on cloud platforms.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a high-growth startup environment, contributing to both existing systems and new infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated deployments.
• Manage and optimize cloud environments (preferably GCP).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Helm/Terraform.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Handle bug fixes, system improvements, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable microservices architecture.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Ensure security best practices including IAM, secrets management, and network policies.

Mandatory Skills :

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
• Expertise in Helm Charts.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with ArgoCD or similar CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Experience in database hosting and scaling.

Nice to Have :

• Exposure to other cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Experience with modern DevOps and automation tools.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

Team & Work Scope :

• No dedicated DevOps team currently – high ownership role.
• Work on both existing systems (maintenance & improvements) and new system builds (greenfield projects).

Preferred Candidate Profile :

Roles and Responsibilities: 

▪ Data Pipeline Development: Build, deploy, and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure 

Data Factory, Data Factory & Azure Synapse Analytics. 

▪ We are only looking for senior candidates with over 5 yrs of relevant exp with ample client 

facing exp.

· Finance/Insurance experience is also a must. 

▪ Data Modelling & Warehousing: Design and optimize data models, warehouses, and lakes for 

structured/unstructured data. 

▪ SQL & Query Optimization: Write complex SQL queries, optimize performance, and manage 

databases. · Python Automation: Develop scripts for data processing, automation, and 

integration using Python (Pandas, NumPy). 

Technical Skills: 

▪ Cloud Technologies: Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Fabric, Azure Databricks and AWS(good to 

have) 

▪ Knowledge of Python, Pyspark, SQL, ETL concepts 

▪ Good understanding of Insurance Operations and KPI reporting is an advantage.

Required Skills and Qualifications: 

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a DevOps role. 
• AWS: In-depth knowledge of AWS services and solutions. 
• CI/CD Tools: Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar. 
• GitOps Expertise: Proficient in GitOps methodologies and tools. 
• Kubernetes: Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration. 
• Scripting and Automation: Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar. 
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar. 
• Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar. 
• Version Control: Strong understanding of version control systems, primarily Git. 
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. 
• Collaboration: Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
• Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.

Demonstrable experience with the following technologies:

Microsoft Azure Platform As A Service (PaaS) product such as Azure SQL, AppServices, Logic Apps, Functions and other Serverless services.

Understanding of Microsoft Identity and Access Management products such including Azure AD or AD B2C.

Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools, including Azure Monitor, App Insights and Log Analytics.

Knowledge of PowerShell, GitHub, ARM templates, version controls/hotfix strategy and deployment automation.

Ability and desire to quickly pick up new technologies, languages, and tools
