Azure Architect - AZ-300/AZ-301

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with 6 to 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure Devops, CICD pipelines development for .Net and Java based applications, IAC-Terraform, Powershell, PowerShell scripting, Infra CI CD Pipelines, Jfrog, SONARQUBE, GITHUB, and Azure DevOps. Experience in the Life and Annuities Insurance domain is mandatory. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.Implement and manage infrastructure as code using AzureIAC-Terraform to ensure efficient and scalable deployment processes. - Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency. - Design and manage CI CD pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle and ensure continuous integration and delivery. - Utilize Jfrog for artifact management and ensure seamless integration with CI CD pipelines. - Implement and maintain code quality checks using SONARQUBE to ensure high standards of code quality and security. - Manage source code repositories using GITHUB and ensure proper version control and collaboration. - Oversee the deployment and management of applications using Azure DevOps to ensure reliable and efficient delivery. - Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and resolve issues related to infrastructure and deployment. - Provide technical guidance and support to team members to ensure best practices in DevOps and infrastructure management.

5 to 10 years of software development & coding experience

Experience with Infrastructure as Code development (Automation, CICD) AWS CloudFormation, AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy are a must have. 

Experience troubleshooting AWS policy or permissions related errors during resource deployments \

Programming experience; preferred Python, PowerShell, bash development experience \

Have Experience with application build automation tools like Apache Maven, Jenkins, Concourse, and Git supporting continuous integration / continuous deployment capabilities (CI/CD) à GitHub and GitHub actions for deployments are must-have skills (Maven, Jenkins, etc. are nice to have)

Have configuration management experience (Chef, Puppet, or Ansible)

Worked in a Development Shop or have SDLC hands on Experience

Familiar with how to write software, test plans, automate and release using modern development methods

AWS certified at an appropriate level

• Understanding of maintenance of existing systems (Virtual machines), Linux stack
• Experience running, operating and maintainence of Kubernetes pods
• Strong Scripting skills
• Experience in AWS
• Knowledge of configuring/optimizing open source tools like Kafka, etc.
• Strong automation maintenance - ability to identify opportunities to speed up build and deploy process with strong validation and automation
• Optimizing and standardizing monitoring, alerting.
• Experience in Google cloud platform
• Experience/ Knowledge  in Python will be an added advantage
• Experience on Monitoring Tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes ,Terraform  etc

Required qualifications and must have skills  

• 5+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ infrastructure software engineers 

• 5+ years of experience in building and scaling technical infrastructure 

• 5+ years of experience in delivering software 

• Experience leading by influence in multi-team, cross-functional projects 

• Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management and managing engineers 

• Experience with cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure 

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker 

Nice to have Skills   

• Experience with Hadoop, Hive and Presto 

• Application/infrastructure benchmarking and optimization 

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices 

• Familiarity with reliability best practices

• Building and maintaining operational tools for monitoring and analysis of AWS infrastructure and systems
• Actively monitoring the health and performance of all systems and performing benchmarking and tuning of system applications and operating systems
• Setting up container orchestration using Kubernetes or other orchestration system for a monolithic application
• Continually working with development engineers to design the best system architectures and solutions
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in our development, test, and production environments
• Maintaining reliability of the system and being on-call for mission-critical systems
• Performing infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
• Ensure systems’ compliance with operational risk standards (e.g. network, firewall, OS, logging, monitoring, availability, resiliency)

• You are proficient with bash, git and git workflows
• You have 3-5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
• You have excellent attention to detail
• AWS certification preferred but not mandatory

• Hands-on knowledge on various CI-CD tools (Jenkins/TeamCity, Artifactory, UCD, Bitbucket/Github, SonarQube) including setting up of build-deployment automated pipelines.
• Very good knowledge in scripting tools and languages such as Shell, Perl or Python , YAML/Groovy, build tools such as Maven/Gradle.
• Hands-on knowledge in containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Good knowledge in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet/Chef and have worked on setting up of monitoring tools (Splunk/Geneos/New Relic/Elk).
•             Expertise in job schedulers/workload automation tools such as Control-M or AutoSys is good to have.
• Hands-on knowledge on Cloud technology (preferably GCP) including various computing services and infrastructure setup using Terraform.

• Should have basic understanding on networking, certificate management, Identity and Access Management and Information security/encryption concepts.
• •             Should support day-to-day tasks related to platform and environments upkeep such as upgrades, patching, migration and system/interfaces integration.
• •             Should have experience in working in Agile based SDLC delivery model, multi-task and support multiple systems/apps.
• •             Big-data and Hadoop ecosystem knowledge is good to have but not mandatory.

• Should have worked on standard release, change and incident management tools such as ServiceNow/Remedy or similar

• Extensive experience in designing & supporting Azure Managed Services Operations.  
• Maintaining the Azure Active Directory and Azure AD authentication. 
• Azure update management – Handling updates/Patching. 
• Good understanding of Azure services (Azure App Service, Azure SQL,  Azure Storage Account..etc). 
• Understanding of load balancers, DNS, virtual networks, NSG and firewalls in cloud environment. 
• ARM templates writing, setup automation for resources provisioning. 
• Knowledge on Azure automation and Automation Desire State Configuration. 
• Good understanding of High Availability and Auto scaling. 
• Azure Backups and ASR (Azure Site Recovery) 
• Azure Monitoring and Configuration monitoring (performance metrics, OMS) 
• Cloud Migration Experience(On premise to Cloud). 
• PowerShell scripting for custom tasks automation. 
• Strong experience in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft based production systems.
