Angular Tech Lead

About the Role:

We are hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to build high-performance, scalable, and visually refined web applications. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on architecture, performance, and crafting exceptional user experiences.

You will work closely with design, product, and backend teams to build robust frontend systems, define engineering standards, and ship production-grade features that scale.

Responsibilities:

- Build scalable, modular frontend applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript

- Architect component-driven UI systems and reusable design libraries

- Implement robust state management using Redux, Zustand, or similar

- Optimize Core Web Vitals, performance, and accessibility (WCAG)

- Translate Figma/design specs into pixel-perfect, production-grade interfaces

- Improve build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling

- Implement testing strategies — unit, integration, and E2E (Jest, Cypress, Playwright)

- Mentor junior engineers and define engineering standards

- Collaborate with backend teams to design API contracts and integrations

Must Have:

- 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering

- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React/Next.js

- Experience building scalable frontend architecture from scratch

- Deep understanding of browser rendering, performance, and optimization

- Strong grasp of responsive design and accessibility best practices

- Experience with state management — Redux, Zustand, or similar

- Ability to write clean, maintainable, production-ready code

Good to Have:

- Experience building design systems or component libraries

- Familiarity with SSR/SSG and performance-driven architectures

- Experience with micro-frontends or large-scale frontend systems

- Exposure to cloud deployment workflows and frontend observability

- Three.js or WebGL experience

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Angular Developer to join Deqode’s frontend engineering team. You will be responsible for creating dynamic and responsive applications using Angular best practices and frameworks

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise-grade web applications using Angular.
• Translate design wireframes into high-quality code.
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for modular development.
• Optimize application performance for speed and scalability.
• Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure application stability.
• Collaborate with backend developers and designers.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Angular (v9+), TypeScript, RxJS, and Angular CLI.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, SCSS, CSS3, and responsive UI design.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jasmine/Karma.
• Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write maintainable, modular, and testable code.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of development experience in Angular.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Requirements

• 3.5+ years of experience in React JS and Redux
• Expert in React.j, ideally using TypeScript language extensions
• Good understanding of JavaScript Design Patterns
• Good experience writing front-end test cases
• HTML5, CSS3 and Responsive web design are mandatory
• Exposure to Scrum methodology and XP technical practices such as unit testing, pair programming, test-driven development, continuous integration or continuous delivery
• Self-motivated, fast learner, detail-oriented, team player and a sense of humour

• Architect, Design, implement, and deploy solutions that are reliable and perform at scale in multi-tenant environment.
• Collaborate with UX design group and convert the design to actual UI components and pages to delight users of our cloud platform
• Evaluate technology and make choice based on performance, scalability, security and future expansion.
• Work with different stakeholders within and outside the team in a highly collaborative environment.
• Working with rapid and innovative development methodologies like: Kanban, Continuous Integration and Daily deployments
• Engage with Product Management and Business to create Product roadmap, own technical backlog and roadmap for technology supremacy.
• Continually learn about new technologies, generate new ideas and improve the use of technology in the product.
• Driving various organization wide activities like Hackathon, Ideathon, brown bag sessions and technical blogs

• Strong experience in Information Architecture and UI Design experience in delivering concepts, wire frames, prototypes, and compelling visual experiences.
• Possess the knowledge of the Graphic Design, Usability and ability to apply strategic thinking to deliver exceptional end to end user experience
• Expert understanding of strong Standards Based HTML Development as also strong JavaScript and JS libraries / UI Frameworks like Prototype.js, DHTMLX, ExtJS, JQuery (one Framework at the least is a must)
• Strong experience in Vue.JS/Backbone.JS or similar.
• Strong in CSS and AJAX / XML / XSLT / DOM / JSON
• Should have fundamental understanding of JavaScript - OOPs
• Understand Cross Browser issues and client side cookie
• Would expect the successful candidate to be highly proficient in Web Standards including W3C and WCAG
• Possess strong and relevant exposure to Web Accessibility/ Usability
• Would require to be intimately familiar with defining UI Specifications / Guidelines
• Would be essential to possess knowledge of web-based technologies and their impact on the feasibility of design solutions, including the capabilities and limitations of Web Technologies
• Experience in the Retail Domain or working on building Analytical Tools would be a plus
• Very good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working with Agile development environments
