Key Job Responsibilities:

• Implementation of Android Framework and Application (Java) – must

• Test tool development and unit testing

• Perform structured root-cause analysis on tuner defects and implement targeted fixes

• Implementation of Tuner component in Android HAL layer (C++) – good to have

• Implementation of Tuner Driver Library – AMFM/DAB/SDARS/HD (C++) – good to have

Key Performance Indicators:

We're looking for an experienced and mature engineer (2-6 yrs experience), who wants to build incredible products while shaping the architecture, tools, and engineering culture of our company

Responsibilities:

• Architect and build our native Android application using Java or Kotlin.
• Set up our backend using either the MEAN (Mongo, Node) or Django stack.
• Collaborate with the design team on feasibility and design reviews.
• Set up DevOps processes - CI/CD and release management.
• Hire an additional backend engineer to scale the application based on requirements.

Requirements:

• You possess strong computer science fundamentals.
• You have native Android application development skills - with Java/Kotlin as a framework.
• You have strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• You have built backends for mobile applications - using the MEAN or Django stack.
• You have some mobile app projects that are worthy of public view (Play Store, Github).
• You like discussing a plan upfront, welcome open collaboration and are an excellent verbal and written communicator.

Android Developer:

Our Android stack includes Java and libGDX, the code base is designed using Clean Architecture.  It is a multi module application and supports both 'application' and 'library' project mode.

EXPECTATIONS:

● Writing efficient android code in Java and Kotlin following Clean Architecture guidelines

● Tracing, benchmarking and profiling android java code

● Familiarity with popular android libraries/methods like Dagger2, RxJava2, OkHTTP.

● Familiarity with latest android platform changes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Work closely with our product and design teams to customize the Poker experience across our  vendor platforms.

● Prototype new and redesign features

● Strong coding abilities and experience with Kotlin, Java and Android SDK

● A focus on UI design principles, hardware acceleration and making games work intuitively

● Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing

mobile products.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

● Experience of building Android applications/Games in Java or Kotlin using Android SDK (Kotlin preferred)

● Good knowledge of Kotlin, Dagger2 and RxJava2 is a great plus

● Strong understanding of object-oriented software development

● Understanding of large and complex code bases, including API design techniques to help keep them clean and maintainable.

● Programming experience using any game engine (libGDX preferred)

● Knowledge of multithreading and memory management specific to mobile devices and caching mechanisms

Role & Responsibility:

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Requirement:

• 3-5 year of experience in Android app development
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Should be passionate about the code you write
• Good understanding of Android jetpack libraries and internals
• Good experience on java 
• Knowledge of kotlin is a plus
• Good Knowledge of MVVM, MVP, Dagger, Observables, Livedata, Retrofit, Glide, OkHttp
• Understanding in Unit Testing will be a plus
• Proven software development experience and Android skills development
