Android Developer

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in React Native.

• Integration of Rest APIs in react native.

• Firm grasp of the JavaScript and Typescript language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax

• Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming

• Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript code

• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts

• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle, Android studio and IntelliJ

• Proficient understanding of releasing and monitoring apps on IOS App store, Play store.

• Should be able to communicate to backend developers on API building and modifications needed.

• Testing and releasing builds Experience in application testing software’s Appium is preferable.

• Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage

• Experience with automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha

• Experience with handling production mobile apps.

• Experience with performance testing and optimization.

Responsibilities:

• We are looking for a React Native developer interested in building performant mobile apps on both the iOS and Android platforms.

• You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure.

• Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

• Build pixel-perfect, buttery-smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.

• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.

• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.

• Reach out to the open-source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.

• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.

• Transition existing React web apps to React Native.

IOS DEVELOPMENT:

• Should have 5+ hardcore experience in Android Mobile App development
• Proficient in Kotlin, Android SDK with Location tracking, Route map, Google Map/ Voice API Integration, Regional language support etc.
• Understanding of design patterns and mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM / MVC / MVP.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration and code versioning tools such as Git.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Design and implementation of automotive applications
• Analysis of customer product requirements
• Review and investigate issues in code developed by peers
• Partner closely with customers and other Cerence teams to establish and maintain clear, concise communication through regular reporting, meeting participation, and follow-up
• Adopt underlying layers for Android Automotive to run on customer hardware

Education: Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

Minimum years of work experience: 4+ years of industry experience

Required skills:

• 4 + years’ software development experience, preferably for automotive and in connection with user interface technologies
• Experience using modern development processes/tools and developing through the complete Software Development Life Cycle
• Experiences in programing and scripting languages (JAVA, Python, Typescript)
• Experience with using source control tools like Git and CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins
• Experience working in / Knowledge of Agile/Scrum framework
• Experience in Android development
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
• Strong object-oriented analysis, design, and coding skills
• Fluent in English both written and spoken
• Strong team player and customer focus

Preferred skills:

• Good knowledge of Android Automotive platform
• Experience with VS Code
• Ability to set-up and hardware equipment in support of software development tasks (i.e. configure software on target device, connect cabling/power suppliers, etc.)

• Engineering Graduates or Postgraduates with 2-5 years of experience in mobile development, who have designed and developed advanced applications for the Android platform in B2C domain. Experience of development of app for retail domain is an added advantage.  
• Must have working skills:

Responsibilities:

1.    Perform R&D in computer graphics and video contents editing. Help to develop new video editing/processing algorithms for our video and live streaming pipeline. Follow up state-of-art work in related fields and keep improving overall performance of our products. 

2.    Research and optimize algorithms/strategies of short video and streamed video coding.

3.    Research and develop practical image enhancing algorithms. Follow up state-of-art work in related fields and keep improving overall performance of our video systems.
