Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Android Developer (SDE II) to join our Wealth and Asset Management platform team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, and modern Android architecture, with the ability to build high-performance and user-friendly applications.

Mandatory Skills :

Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack Compose, XML Views, Android Architecture Components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, WorkManager), MVVM, REST APIs (Retrofit, OkHttp), Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, AWS, and Bitbucket.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications.
• Implement new features and optimize application performance.
• Build responsive and high-quality user interfaces following Material Design guidelines.
• Debug, test, and resolve issues to ensure application stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Publish and maintain applications on the Google Play Store.

Required Skills :

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Android application development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and XML-based View System.
• Knowledge of Android Architecture Components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, WorkManager).
• Understanding of design patterns such as MVVM, MVI, MVP, Repository Pattern.
• Experience with REST APIs using Retrofit and OkHttp.
• Familiarity with Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
• Knowledge of Material Design principles and Play Store publishing guidelines.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, AWS, and Bitbucket.

Preferred Skills :

• Full-stack development experience.
• Knowledge of UI/UX best practices.
• Experience with Google Play Store release and deployment processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Min 5 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise software applications including the experience in architecting and developing applications on the Android platform.
• Experience in Java, Kotlin and dependency injection for Android app development.
• Experience with Media, Telecom, FCM, Network, JSON, XML, Web Services and SQLite.
• Expertise in mobile and Java frameworks/accelerators.
• Knowledge of WebRTC, XMPP, DAO, Firebase, RESTAPIs, Crashlytics, and JetPack libraries.
• Advanced experience with Android Studio, Gradle, Git, and continuous integration.
• Strong knowledge of the Android mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Fully conversant with SOLID principles, software development frameworks, design patterns, and enterprise in mobile application integration
• Experience with XMPP and Smack libraries and with RxJava, Dagger2 is desirable

• Design and develop mobile applications in true service oriented architecture.
• Building mobile applications on Android platform using Java, Kotlin, etc
• Worked on major architectures like MVVM, MVP

• Writing clean and efficient code for Android applications.
• Atleast published 1-2 apps on play store.
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, rectifying bugs and enhancing application performance.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and design new features.
• Staying up to date with new mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols.

• You have prior exposure to Kotlin, Android SDK.
• Understanding of design patterns and mobile architecture using frameworks such as MVVM / MVC / MVP.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to effectively integrate Android applications.
• Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• You are a problem solver with good analytical skills.
• Prior experience in accessibility applications or voice-based applications will be a plus not a necessity
• Passion to work in dynamic, start-up environment

Description

We are looking for a stellar Mobile App developer to help us build our next Android app for our IoT Devices/Application.

Responsibilities:

• Build our Android app for our IoT Devices/Applications
• Work with product owners to spec the requirements.
• Design, code, test and deliver various features in our product roadmap
• Fix customer issues as needed.
• Integration with Amazon Alexa, Google Home Kit and other third party platforms.

Requirements

Required Skills:

• 4+ yrs experience in building Mobile apps for Android for Phone and tablet using Java
• 2+ yrs experience in building Mobile apps for Android using Kotlin
• Strong UI development skills in terms of design
• 2+ yrs in building/consuming APIs
• Hands on knowledge of IoT
• Hands on knowledge of Unix/Linux.
• Knowledge of any of the Application servers like Apache/ NginX
• Good oral and written communication skills in English

Preferred Skills:

• 1+ yrs in building IoT/Embedded devices.
• 2+ years experience in HTML, JS, AJAX, and related browser side web technology
• 2+ yrs in Python, Php, Java, Node.js is desirable
• Strong networking knowledge.
• Experience with scrum development, Jira & Git
