Job Summary:
As an Admission Counselor, you will be responsible for recruiting, advising, and admitting prospective students to the institution. You will serve as a liaison between the institution and potential students, guiding them through the admissions process and providing information about academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and other relevant topics. Your goal will be to attract a diverse and qualified pool of female applicants and ensure a seamless transition from application to enrollment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the institution at high schools, college fairs, and community events to promote programs and opportunities.:
- Provide personalized guidance to prospective students, addressing their questions and concerns about academic programs, admissions requirements, and campus resources.
- Assist students in identifying their academic and career goals and how they align with the institution's offerings.
- Cultivate positive relationships with high school counsellors, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote the institution and foster partnerships.
- Maintain contact with admitted students to facilitate their transition to enrollment and address any concerns they may have.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, applicant interactions, and admissions decisions using the institution's CRM or admissions software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, counselling, marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in admissions, recruitment, or counselling, preferably in a higher education setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of admissions processes, financial aid options, and higher education trends.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate recruitment events and deadlines.
